Unit 7 Hobbies （Period One）

【The material】

This lesson is from Unit 7, Book 4, . It is a unit about the hobbies. 【The students】

The students are from grade 4. They have learnt English for more than 1 year. They have a brief understanding about English and they also know some simple sentences. They have the foundation of this lesson’s learning.

【Teaching aims】

(1)Aims on knowledge:

First, Ss can understand and speak the words: ice-skating, listening to music, watching TV, riding a bike, playing cards, making models.

Second, Ss can use the patterns of “What’s your hobby? My hobby is...”

(2)Aims on abilities:

First, let students know how to describe his/her hobbies.

Second, to help Ss’ ability of group work. (3)Aims on the emotion:

①Greeting

1.Warming up ②Set a task of making friends with Gogo. and Lead in ①Let students talk about what do they like doing? 3.Words Then teach the new words “ice-skating”

②Use the same way to teach the other new words.
