Step 1.Warm-up&Revision 1.

Greetings&Listen to the song 2.

Free-talk:

Ask: How many months are there in a year? Which is the first/second/third/fourth month?

Lead-in the title: Unit4 January is the first month . Lesson23 3.

Warm-up: Play a game, look at the turntable, say the words and phrases .

设计意图:用歌曲进行课前铺垫,用转盘游戏活跃课堂气氛,复习巩固节日、月

Step2:Presentation&Practice

Before-reading 1. Show “

Mother’s Day”

and “Father’s Day”, help students to understand the sentence “We give gifts to our mothers/fathers to show our love.”

And group students. 2. Use the pronunciation rule to lead out the new word: May

Teach how to read the word and help students to master the sentence: May is the fifth month of the year. 3. Lead out “June” with a calendar. Teach how to read and use it in sentence.

设计意图:用学生熟知的节日开场,降低学习难度,对阅读短文进行预设铺垫,同时,给学生进行分组,在教学中体现评价。

While-reading 4. Watch the video and find out: What are the festivals in May and June? 5. Read the text again, answer: When are the festivals? 6. Listen and read the passage loudly, talk about the activities.

Help students to understand the word “perform”. 7. Read the text together, fill in the blanks.

设计意图:阅读中采取“任务型教学”方法,在学生每一遍读课文前给出明确问题,让学生带着问题去读,帮助学生更快更好的理解课文内容,并能够从阅读中获取主要信息,掌握阅读方法。

Step3.Consolidation and extension: After-reading 1. Fun reading: Dragon Boat Festival 2.Writing: Choose a festival what you like, talk about it and write a short passage.

设计意图:拓展部分设计了阅读和写作环节,阅读内容延伸本课学习内容,又能够贴近学生的生活,介绍中国传统节日,帮助学生体会中西方文化差异,培养学生的爱国情怀。写作环节则是对本课学习的综合评价,将评价机制运用于语言学习中,培养学生的写作能力。

Step4.Summary: Look at the blackboard, retell the text . 设计意图:借助板书设计,总结本课所学内容,同时检测学生的学习成果。

Step 5.Homework: 1. Read the text twice after class. 2.Talk about the festival what you like and write down.

设计意图:巩固本课学习内容,遵循“听说领先,读写跟上”原则,培养学生语言综合运用能力。
