Story time Ⅰ. Analysis of the teaching contents: This part is appropriate to students’

interests、experiences and knowledge. It provides the students with opportunities to use the target language and stimulate the students to seek further information. PartC is an interesting story.

II. Analysis of the students: The students in Grade Five are active and curious, interested in new things.They have learnt English for more than two years.They have some basic English background knowledge and learning skills.However, some of them can't concentrate all their minds on learning.In their views, English is a little difficult and they're afraid of making mistakes.They don't often open their mouths.So the teacher should attach importance to the communication with them, providing them the chances of using language. Ⅲ. The teaching aims and demands:

Ability aims: 1.understand the story and act it out with pictures and the teacher; 2.develop the ability of their cooperation. B. Knowledge aims: 1.understand the meaning of “film,gorilla, noise, popcorn, exciting, crunch, sign”; 2.use the sentence patterns of the present continuous tense and use it in a real situation; 3.understand the language of standard behavior and use it in a real situation. C.Emotion aims:

1.follow the rules in public and develop the rule consciousness; 2.cultivate the habits of civilization and be civilized students; 3.foster the ability of their working in groups. Ⅳ. The teaching Key and difficult points: Teaching key points : 1.Students can understand the story and act it out; 2.Students can use the sentence patterns of the present continuous tense and the language of standard behavior in a real situation. Teaching difficult points : 1. Students can understand the meaning of film, gorilla, noise, exciting, crunch with the pictures and the teacher; 2. Through the interesting story, the students are able to know the importance of appropriate behavior and develop the rule consciousness. Ⅴ. Teaching methods: In this lesson I will mainly use

“task-based Approach”、“Multimedia

Approach”、“Communicative Approach” and so on. Ⅵ. Teaching aids:

Word cards, video, pictures, headwears, teaching courseware and so on.Ⅶ.Teaching procedures:

Step 1. Warm up. 1.

Greetings. The teacher and the students greet each other.

Sing a song. The students sing the song of“School days”. 3.

Revision. （1）Let the students match some phrases with proper pictures; （2）Practice some present continuous sentence patterns. Step 2. Presentation. 1.

Let the students watch a video of a story ; 2. The students watch the video of the story again with three questions:“Where are Zoom and Zip？

What are Zoom and Zip doing？How should they do that？”

3. Let the students look at pictures1,2 and answer the questions; At the same time, the teacher introduces “gorilla”

and “The gorilla is eating a banana.”

Let the students watch Pictures3,4 and help them understand “noise、crunch 、exciting ”.Ask the students to read the dialogues imitating Zoom and Zip .After that, the teacher says,“The film is very good, Zip and Zoom are excited, but are the tiger and the rabbit happy ? Why?”Let the students discuss.The teacher prompts:“What are the Zoom and Zip doing when they are seeing the film? Maybe Zoom and Zip are not quiet...”

The students may say:

S1: Because Zoom is eating popcorn.

S2: Zoom and Zip are talking, too. S3: They are making noise...

Picture5, the teacher asks:What should they do? Let students practice in paris and act it out. S1: Shh! Talk quietly! S2: Sorry! 6.

T: Now Zoom and Zip are quiet,but what happens next? (Let the students look at Picture 6 and let them talk freely.) Teacher prompts: What is the sign about on the wall? Let the students pay attention to the sign. S1: Popcorn is everywhere.

S2: Zoom makes the cinema dirty…

The teacher asks:What Should we do when we see the film in the cinema? The class discuss and the teacher tells the students how to do that. Step3. Practice.

1. Let the students read the story after the recorder and pay attention to the pronunciation and internation of the dialoges. 2.Five students as a team practice the story first, then a volunteer team acts out the story in class. Step4. Consolidation . The teacher shows two scenes,let the students discuss what they should do in these places ,next let the students put the proper warning

language into the box under the places. Step5. Summary.

The teadcher summarizes :today we have leant the story about Zoom and Zip seeing a film in a cinema.Their inappropriate behavior affected others.This is not polite. We should follow the rules in public and become civilized students. Step6. Homework.
