If引导的虚拟条件句

北师大版必修5第15单元语法知识，虚拟语气—if引导的虚拟条件句。学生初次接触虚拟语气，有一定的难度，所以初步设想每节课聚焦一个重点内容，逐步渗透，由点到面。本节课为虚拟语气第一课时，主要聚焦if引导的虚拟条件句。

Step 1 Lead-in Watch a video to introduce the topic of this class. Ask students to judge whether the English lines in the video are correct after introducing the structure of the Subjunctive Mood led by if. The lines: I am wrong. I am really wrong from the beginning. I should not be married. If I am not married, my husband will never die.

一、if引导的虚拟条件句

1、与过去事实相反的虚拟条件句

If +主

+had +过去分词, 主+would/should/could/might +have +过去分词.

eg. If he had worked hard, he would have passed the examination.

2、与现在事实相反的虚拟条件句

If +主

+did(were), 主+would/should/could/might +动词原形. eg. If I were you, I would try it again. 3、与将来事实相反的虚拟条件句

If +主

+did (were)/were to do /should do, 主+would/should/could/might +动词原形. eg. If he came here tomorrow, I would tell him about it.

二、三点说明

1、省略If的虚拟条件句

当虚拟条件句中有were/ had/ should时, 可省掉if，并把were/ had/ should提到主语之前，构成Were / Should / Had + 主

+ …，主句

If I were you, I would try it again.

Were I you, I would try it again.

If he had been there yesterday, he would have seen the film.

Had he been there yesterday, he would have seen the film. If it should snow tomorrow, we wouldn’t go out.

Should it snow tomorrow, we wouldn’t go out.

2、错综时间条件句

主句与从句的动作发生在不同的时间，这时主、从句谓语动词的虚拟语气形式因时间不同而不同。

If you had asked him yesterday, you would know what to do now. If it had rained last night (过去), it would be very cold today (现在). 3、含蓄条件句

一些介词短语或副词，如：but for(要不是)，without，otherwise(否则)，表示含蓄的条件，这时主句要用虚拟语气。

Without your help（=If we hadn’t got your help）, we would not have made such rapid progress. He was ill that day; otherwise (=if he hadn’t been ill), he would have come.

Usage 如果我的夫君不死，我也不会沦落到这么一个伤心的地方。

If my husband haven’t died, ... 正确表达：

If my husband hadn’t died (过去), I wouldn’t be reduced to such a sad place now(现在).

This grammar class has made the Subjunctive Mood led by if easy for students to understand and master. In this class, the usage of the grammar has not only aroused students’ interest but also helped to apply the theoretical knowledge to actual use. In a word, the teaching goals have been achieved after this class.
