教学内容：高二选修六Module1 reading and vocabulary：The Wrong Kind of Small Talk 学情分析：高二（2）理科普通班，学生基础一般，能初步用英语交流。

教材分析：

本模块围绕“Small Talk”这一主题开展听、说、读、写多种教学活动, 旨在通过教学，使学生对各种不同的闲聊话题、技巧、注意事项、社交方法、规则等加以了解并能够学会用small talk和别人进行交流。学会使用非正式的日常用语；能正确运用“责任义务和无责任义务”的表达法；学会读、写电子邮件。

本节课是Module One 的第二篇阅读课文，前面已经学习了社交活动的聊天话题、社交方法和规则。本节阅读课Reading and Vocabulary的阅读材料是关于主人公Esther经常说错话的事例介绍，要求学生阅读并掌握重点词汇；了解small talk涉及的话题，学会如何与人交际、如何避免尴尬。

教学目标: 知识目标

了解small talk涉及的话题，阅读并掌握重点词汇，注重语言信息输入。

能力目标

以培养阅读能力，训练阅读技巧为主，同时加强读写等能力训练，注重语言输出。

发展学生的思维能力，学会如何与人交际、如何避免尴尬。
