三． Teaching procedure 1.

Pre-reading 1)

Self-introduction: A mind map about Icy.

Guess the four pictures in one word/phrase/sentence: Words: Flowers, rivers, animals Phrase: waste water, make the air dirty, Sentence: We should plant trees. We should care for the earth. 2.

While-reading 1)

Read the whole text and finish “ tick or cross”

Paragraph 1: A)

Read 1st paragraph following the teacher. B)

Ss find their difficult words and teacher explain them. The teacher asks: What are these in the earth, please stick them. Ss put something on the earth.

T finds key words and make a bubble map. D)

Students retell the Pra.1 by the bubble map group by group.
