Unit8 What can you do?

Teaching Plan ⅠTeaching aims: Knowledge aims:

a. Students can spell and understand the meaning of the new words.

b. Students can master the new sentence patterns “ What can you do?” and “ I can…”. Ability aims:

Students can use the vocabularies and sentence patterns to talk about their abilities fluently. Emotional aims:

Students will enjoy communicating with each other in English. ⅡTeaching Key & Difficult points

Teaching key points : Master new words and sentence patterns. Teaching difficult points : How to talk freely and naturally in their daily life with new words and sentences. Ⅲ

Teaching Procedures:

Step1 Warming up

Let’s sing and dance. (Head, shoulders, knees and toes)

Leading-in:

Review some daily activities by showing some pictures.

Step2 Presentation

a.New words (pictures):

pea→peak→speak

ear→hear

meet→mee→see

tell→hell→help

b. Practice new words: let’s chant

Hide the answers, let students answer according to the questions.

Step3 Consolidation a.

Choose and read b.

Free talk Answer “ What can you do?” with these following phrases. Step 4 Summary and homework Summary: Summarize what is learned today by reading the contents. Homework: Ask their friends and parents what they can do and make a record.
