一、Teaching aims: 1. Grasp the vocabulary and sentence patterns. 2. Be able to use the sentences in the real occasions. 3. Be able to express good wishes to Mum on Mother’s Day. 二、Key points: 1. Topic vocabulary : Mother’s Day/flower /idea / card 2. Language focus : It’s Mother’s Day. What can I do for Mum? I have a good idea.
三、Difficult points:
Learn to express good wishes to Mum on Mother’s Day. 四、Teaching step: Step1. Warm-up 1.齐唱歌曲《世上只有妈妈好》，通过观看妈妈辛苦照顾孩子的图片，自然地引出本课课题Mother’s Day.(学习单词Mother’s Day) 2.接着让学生了解母亲节的背景知识。
Step2. Presentation 1.出示今年五月的日历，让学生们找找母亲节。When is the Mother’s
Day? 2.Free talk: It’s Mother’s Day. What can I do for Mum? 3.New words: idea
