Part B

Learning aims: 1.

Can listen, speak, read and write new words: rain, snow, cloud, wind, sky, raincoat, glasses. 2.

Can use the key sentence structure freely. 3.

Can describe the weather conditions. Teaching tools:

tape; PPT; raincoats. Teaching stratagies:

cooperation; discussion; independent inquiry.

Teaching procedures: Step one: 1. Daily greetings. 4.

Students’ free talking. 5.

Sing the song “What are you doing?”. Step two: Leading-in 1.

Make a revision. Review the new words and the key sentence structure:

A: “What + be + S + doing? B: S + be + doing + else.”

2. Show the title. 3. Show the learning aims. Step three: New teaching

Listen to the dialogue and know what happened in the story.

Students read the dialogue by themselves, then discuss their problems with their partners. 3.

Ask students to read the dialogue and translate them into Chinese. The teacher correct their problems. 4.

Students read the dialogue after the video, then practice the dialogue in groups for four minutes. 5.

Some groups act the dialogue out before the class. The teacher encourage students in time. 6.

Show some language points on the PPT, The teacher explain the uses. Step four: Do some exercises and strengthen the key points. Step five: Summery Step six: Homework
