Story time 二、Teaching task：

1、With the help of teacher ，the students can understand the story according to the pictures. Review and consolidate the sentence:

I will .. . / I want to ...

and so on . 2、Expand the sentence structures : Practice makes perfect. Will you come to the party/play football with me after lunch? I want to practise my song. I need more practice. I’ll go swimming tonight.Increase the input of Ss . 3、Ss can understand the content of the story , read the story and act the story. Ss can use the language of the story correctly.

4. According to the story ，let the Ss to understand the meaning of “Practice makes perfect.”

三、Teaching difficult and important points：

1、Teaching important point: Practice makes perfect. Will you come to the party/play football with me after lunch? I want to practise my song. I need more practice. I’ll go swimming tonight.

2、Teaching difficult points：can distinct the differences of practise and practice；can understand the meaning of “Practice makes perfect”.

五、Teaching process：

Step1: Warm-up T: Let’ s have a race , a word game .(divide the Ss into 4 groups , Ss write the new words on the blackboard one by one.)

Step 2：Present the story.

Before reading：

T: Look at the new words on the screen , let’ s read together. Practice makes perfect熟能生巧/practise练习（动词）

together 一起/play with..与..一起玩/need 需要/more 更多

T: Can you find out the date in this story？Now let’s read together. April 30th /May 1st/May 2nd/May 3rd/May 4th Step 3：Present the story.

While reading：

1.Task：T:Listen to the video carefully and find answers of the questions below.

1）When is Rabbit' s birthday? 2）What will Rabbit do after lunch ? 3)

What will Cat do on May 3rd? T:Let’ s check the answers now . 1)When is Rabbit' s birthday?

A:It' s on May 1st. 2)What will rabbit do after lunch ? A:Rabbit will play football after lunch. 3)What will Cat do on May 3rd? A:Cat will watch TV on May 3rd. 2.

T: Listen to the video again and repeat. 1)Teach the using of the words,phrases and sentences structure: Will do../need more/... 2)

Teach Ss to read and distinct the differences between practice and practise. Step 4：Present the story.

After reading：

Game ：Imitate and act the story :. 1)Read the story in groups. 2)Act out the story in roles. T: Listen to the video again ,try to imitate the intonation and act the story. 3)Invite five Ss to the stage ，act the story in front of the other Ss. Let the Ss to choose the best actors and actresses. 2. What do you learn from the story? T: According to the story , we know that Zoom acts very well in the singing contest.From his story ,what can you learn ?
