Unit 6 Jobs Objective and Requirements Language: What do you do? I’m a nurse .What do you want to be? I want to be a teacher. Vocabulary: taxi driver,fire fighter,police officer,office worker,secretary,doctor nurse,teacher,barber,basketball player,butcher,bus driver,businessman,baker. Materials: Pictures of a doctor , fire fighter and magician.(from magezine or newspaper,etc.) Picture Cards from81-90 ,picture of a female nurse, picture of a girl paper , chalk/markers,crayons/markers.

T: Listen to the tape and repeat ,Point to each word as you say it. ★

Play the tape and have Ss repeat. ★

Point to pictures at random and model sentences. ★

T:(Point to the taxi driver)He’s a taxi driver Repeat .[Ss: He’s a taxi driver.] ★

Continue with the rest of the pictures.

（D）Oral practicing (pair work) 3、Song activity. ★Ask individual Ss to read the lyrics. ★

T: Let’s sing a song !Let’s listen to the tape first..

Play the tape and point to each word as it is sung. ★

Play the tape again and have Ss practice singing. ★

Divide the class into 2groups.One groups sings the questions and the other group sings the answers .Then switch. ★

T Look at picture B and write the sentences.

★

Give Ss time to write the sentences on the page. ★

Walk around the room to provide help if needed. ★

Continue with C and D. ★

Ask individual Ss to read their sentences to the class.

Play the tape again ,pausing after each expression to let the Ss repeat. ★

Divide Ss into 4

groups and give them the roles of Gogo , the doctor ,the fire fighter and Tony. ★

Play the tape again ,pausing after each sentence for each group to repeat its part. 3、Sound and words ★Have Ss look at the pictures on the page. ★

T: Let’s listen to the tape.

Play the tape and have Ss point to each word as the tape says it. ★

T :Let’s listen again and this time, repeat.

Have Ss repeat after the tape. ★

T:(Point to basketball player.)What does he do?[Ss: He’s a basketball player.] ★

Point to the rest of the pictures at random and ask the same question. ★

T: Look at A.(S1’s name),can you read the sentence?[S1:The barber has a big baby.]

T: Now can you find the sound /b/in the sentence? Circle the word that have

the sound /b/.

Have Ss read the sentences aloud with natural speed.
