教学目标

语言知识目标

1.学习单词：kiss，love，surprise, kind。

2.学习句型：What will you do for your mother? I’ll …. 3.复习巩固字母组合sh，ch，tch，th在单词中的发音。

4.学说韵律诗:My Gifts。

5.功能：谈论母亲节习俗，表达感恩。

语言技能目标

1.能准确使用will来表达将要做的事。

2.能模仿范例写出计划要对母亲说的话和要为母亲做的事，然后用英语口头表达出来。

情感态度

培养学生热爱母亲的情感并学会尽孝道。

文化渗透

母亲节的由来。

教具准备

1.本课有关的新单词卡片。

2.一本日历，一个礼物盒。

3.课文中的三个人物头像。

4.录音机或多媒体教学光盘。

Step1 warmming up

1.Greetings: 2. Enjoy a song.<> 【设计意图】通过歌曲,激发学生的兴趣,以及对月份和节日的旧知进行滚动,自然引出Mother’s Day is in May.为新课学习做好铺垫。

3.Watch a video.(观看母爱公益广告。) 4.Say something about your mother.

【设计意图】通过母爱的公益广告,为本课母亲节创设氛围,最大限度地让学生的情感与之共鸣,激发学生的求知欲。

Step2 presentation

1.Know something about Mother’s Day.(文化背景介绍) Mother’s Day is in May. It is usually on the second Sunday of May. And it comes from America. Mother’s Day is a good time to show our love to mother.

T:When is Mother’s Day this year?(出示2017年的母亲节) 【设计意图】通过文化背景介绍,让学生了解母亲节的由来,拓展孩子视野。

Step 3: Present the task 1).Listen and answer. When is Mother's Day? 2).听音,找出大意,理清脉络。

a.What will you do for your mother,Ben? b.What will you do for your mother,Kate? c,What will you do for your mother,Sally? 3)听音,划线,找出答案。

a.教学I'll give her a card,and say,"Happy Mother's Day!"并操练句子。

b.教学 I'll give her a big kiss,and say,"I love you!"并操练。

c.教学Let's give her a surprise.激发学生想象。

【设计意图】专项的听力练习,让学生对本课的语篇有了初步感知。并根据学生的认知水平先易后难,提取语言知识点进行教学并操练,,激发学生自主参与,积极思维,主动探究,培养高年级学生的阅读和听力能力。在词汇教学中,教师通过音、形、义让学生有效识记单词,增强他们学习英语的兴趣和信心。

Step4 drill

1.Listen and follow. 2.Role play. 3.Retell the text. 【设计意图】通过听音跟读、分角色朗读、复述文本等形式,让学生在小组合作中进一步训练、及时巩固所学语言。

Read a story Task 3. Let’s enjoy a story.Answer the question. Question:What will Betty do on Mother’s Day? 【设计意图】儿童绘本是儿童文学的一环。本环节通过图象、文字和声音,学生得以由直觉进入绘本的世界,体验感受整体意境,自然流畅地听故事,让学生轻松愉快地阅读。儿童绘本扩大了高年级学生的阅读面,满足其知识需求,培养小读者的阅读能力。

Task 4: What will we do on Mother’s Day?

1.T makes an example. 2.Ss finish the card. 3.Ss share the plans in groups.. 4.Ss share their plans in the classroom, and stick the cards on the blackboard. 【设计意图】遵循“听说领先,读写兼顾”的原则,对所学内容从听读的层面迁移到写,学生的技能全面提高。小组分享和全班共享心愿卡,培养学生用英语交际的能力及敢于用英语表达的习惯。

Step 7 Summary.

Mother’s love is the greatest love in the world!母爱是世界上最伟大的爱!They do a lot for us.So please appreciate our parents!Love your mother,love your father and love your family! 【设计意图】“课已终,情未了”。通过格言,让学生真正有所学,有所感,有所悟,最终得到人格的生成,实现本节课的教育性目标。

Step 8 Assign the homework 1. Listen to the tape and read P41-42( 5 times).

2.Make a card or do some things for your mother . ★ 3. Write down what your classmates will do for their mother. 【设计意图】任务作业,延伸课外。分层布置,尊重个体差异。
