教材简解：本课时通过Miss Li询问Su Hai，Mike的生日，他们分别描述生日当天的情形，学习句型When’s your birthday? What do you do on your birthday? 及回答It’s on …. I usually …. 并通过此课时，学生可以学习到各种如何过生日的表达方式：have a big party, eat some noodles, play with kitty, have a party, buy a birthday cake, eat the birthday cake, play some games, have a great time, have a lot of fun.

教学目标：

知识目标：1、能听懂、会读、会说单词：eleventh, eighth, together, birthday, April, game等。

2、能听懂、会读、会说日常用语：When’s your birthday? What do you do on your birthday? 及回答It’s on …. I usually …。

3、能初步感知序数词的构成和用法。

能力目标：1、学生能正确阅读并理解故事，在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

2、学生能够在理解的基础上有感情地朗读并合作表演故事。

情感目标：能了解中西方文化的不同的生日风俗习惯。

教学重点：1、能正确理解并朗读课文，在教师的帮助下尝试复述课文。

2、能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型询问别人的生日以及如何过生日。

教学难点：能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型询问别人的生日以及如何过生日。

设计理念：1、面向全体学生，体现以学生为主体的思想，关注语言学习者的不同特点和个体差异。

2、强调学习过程，重视语言学习的实践性和应用性。学生在语境中通过接触、体验和理解真是语言，在此基础上学习和运用语言。

设计思路：1、通过1+2+3=story time模式贯穿这一课时，“1”指通过对教师“我”本人的介绍，初识本课重点句型；“2”指详述课文中Su Hai和Mike这两个人物，了解怎么询问别人的生日以及如何过生日，同时学习中西方文化的不同的生日风俗习惯；“3”指能力提升和综合利用环节，主要是通过表格利用所学句型询问学生本人、学生

父母和学生祖父母三代人生日以及如何过生日，倡导感恩，及时行孝。

2、设计两个奖励机制，首先将学生分成两组，一是通过板书简笔画，看哪组先到达金字塔顶端；二是每组发一个印有birthday cake的KT板，在活动环节的时候奖励学生各种贴纸，组员可以用来装饰自己的cake，从而装扮每组的Dream birthday cake。

教学过程: Step 1. Warm-up and lead-in 1. Greeting T：Good morning, class! S: Good morning, Miss Jiang! 2. Free talk T: Look at the blackboard. What’s this? S: …. T: Yes, It’s a pyramid. Today I’ll see who can reach the top first. At the same time, each group has a birthday cake. (出示KT板，每组一个)You can get the stickers as many as you can to decorate your dream birthday cake.( 明确奖励机制) 3. Enjoy a song. Happy birthday (各种语言的歌) T：Do you like this song? S: Yes! T:What is this song about? S: Birthday! T: Yes! So today we’ll learn unit 8 Birthdays. (板书课题) [设计意图]简单打招呼后，明确两个奖励机制，通过各种语言的生日歌，进入本课的学习主题。

[设计意图] 奖励机制得到灵活运用，同时可以进一步巩固本课知识，学生在玩中学，在学中玩。
