所授班级为高三年级重点班，学生的英语学习热情较高并且有一定的词汇基础，但是平时听说练习比较少，导致英语口语表达能力有所欠缺。因此，通过本节听说课，学生可以从自己熟悉的青春偶像王俊凯与霍金的问答中，学习英语语言知识，了解物理知识，关注科学和人类命运，同时进一步提高英语学习兴趣。
