Step 1. Warming up

课前欣赏:Enjoy a song: There is a girl in the park

T: The children are playing happily. What a beautiful day in the park! Shall we begin our lesson?

2.I’m glad to have the English lesson with you today. First, let’s say the rhyme together. Then let’s say like them, boys first, and girls next. OK?

Q: What is Andrew doing? A: He is having a drink. (动作)

How about Andrea? How to ask?

Q: What is Andrea doing?

A: She is drawing a dress. She is drawing a dress for her friend Sue.

Step 2. Story

一. 导入文本:

Well. Andrew is having a drink. And Andrea is drawing a dress for her friend Sue. How about Helen and Mike? Look, they’re at home. What are they doing now? 二. 解读文本:

(1) Watch the cartoon and match.

First, Let’s watch the cartoon and try to match. (说说做做四幅图的动作)What is Helen doing?(板书)

Well. Let’s learn. What is Helen doing?(跟读) She is sweeping the floor. (door迁移floor)

sweep---sweeping She is sweeping the floor.

What else is Helen doing? Here’s a new phrase for you. “wash the dishes” (watch fish 迁移)

So what is Helen doing? -------She is washing the dishes.

wash----washing She is washing the dishes.

(板书) Do you remember when Helen is sweeping the floor?

Helen is sweeping the floor in the morning and she is washing the dishes in the afternoon.

(2) Watch the cartoon and choose.

Good job! How about Mike? Who can ask? ----What is Mike doing?(板书)

Here are four choices for you to choose. We see Mike is doing some cleaning(动作). (eat read 迁移clean They share the sound /i:/.) clean----cleaning

Let’s watch the cartoon again.

C. cleaning the bedroom D. cleaning the table 跟读clean the car 和clean the table,利用两个词组让学生回答:What is Mike doing? He is______________.

(板书) 同Helen一样板书Mike的上下午两件事。

小结:We see Helen and Mike are doing housework at home(利用板书). They are helping their parents.

(3) Listen and complete.

We have known that Helen and Mike are helping their parents at home. So what are their parents doing? What are they doing in the morning?(板书句型) Look, here’s a form. Let’s listen to Mike and try to remember what they’re doing in the morning. (第一段课文听录音填表格)

What is Dad doing in the morning? ------Yes. He is cleaning the car. (板书)We know Mike is cleaning the car too. Because he is helping his father. He

(4) Let’s repeat.

Good job! We have known a lot about their Saturday morning. Let’s read the passage after Mike together. Please pay attention to these reading signs. Try to read better. ( They’re sleeping. I think we should read more gently. Let’s try again.)

(5) Read and find.

They have a busy morning. How about the afternoon? Look. They’re busy too. ( busy /I/ 忙碌)

Why are they still busy? What are they doing in the afternoon? Please open your books and read the second paragraph by yourselves. You can line the key sentences, and complete the form.

What is Dad doing? We don’t know. Let’s guess. I think he is reading the newspapers in the study. How about you? Please guess. ( 板书:/ )

What is Mum doing? How do you know that? Read for me. (板书)
