Step 1 Brainstorming In writing, which part do you think is the most difficult?

(vocabulary, grammar, structure or handwriting)

Step 2 Some common mistakes in your writing

1.语法错误

(1) Do you know where is the People’s park?

→Do you know where the People’s Park is?

(2) Have many visitors enjoy the food.

→Many visitors enjoy the food.

→There are many visitors who enjoy the food.

2.句子不平行

In my spare time, I enjoy popular music and collecting stamps.

→In my spare time, I enjoy listening to popular music and collecting stamps.

3.句子不连贯、句子过多重复.

You will continue to walk. You’ll see a hill. You will go around the hill. You’ll get to a lake.

→After walking for a while, you’ll come to a hill, walk round to the other side of the hill. There you’ll see a lake.

4.句子没有逻辑性

I’m very interested in computer and won first prize last year.

→I was very interested in computer and won first prize last year.

5.句子头重脚轻

Chinese, maths, English, physics, chemistry and computer are the main subjects.

→The main subjects are Chinese, maths, English, physics, chemistry and computer.

写一则通知，内容如下：

1.你们学校为了提高学生的口语水平，将于5月30日下午在教学楼一楼报告厅举行英语口语竞赛

2.愿意参加的同学在5月25日前在学生会报名。

3.前五名有奖励。

写作思路：

1. 应用文：书面通知。

2. 写作注意事项：(1)格式

(2)使用婉转语气

(3) 开头写出what ;who ;why ;where and when ,句子简洁。

3. 单词和短语的选择：improve one`s English ;hold an English-speaking contest;sign up ;give prizes ; The steps of writing: 时态人称审体裁（记叙文，应用文，议论文）

列如何列提纲Para 1 （综述）开门见山，表明观点。eg: An English-speaking contest is going to be held for senior students……Para 2 根据提示，概述要点。eg: It will be held in our lecture hall on the first floor in the teaching building at 2 P.M October 7 ……Para 3 给出评论，发表己见。eg: Wish you success !

扩扩就是把提示信息扩写成句子，使文章内容完整，要点全面，是写作的关键步骤。An English-speaking contest is going to be held for senior students in order to improve the oral English .

Notice An English-speaking contest is going to be held for senior students in order to improve the oral English .It will be held in our lecture hall on the first floor in the teaching building at 2 P.M October 7 .Those who would like to take part in it are supposed to sign up at the office of Student Union before September 25 .All the senior students are welcome to join in the contest .The first five winners will be given prizes .Please try your best and get ready in time .
