Step 1 Warm up

1. Enjoy some pictures of countries: Canada, France, the US, China

2. Introduction

T: Today I’m your new teacher. First, let me introduce myself: My name is Celia. I’m 30 years old. I live in Wuxi, China. I speak Chinese and English. I like reading and chatting on the Internet. And I have an e-friend.

1. T: I have an e-friend. We usually chat on the Internet.

3. a. T: I have an e-friend Mary. Wang Bing has an e-friend too.

Who is Wang Bing’s e-friend? Let’s listen.

Ss: He’s Peter.

b. T: Yes. Liu Tao wants to play football with Wang Bing. Can Wang Bing play with him? (呈现刘涛和王兵的对话)

Teach: wait a minute 等一会儿

4. a. T: Yes. What questions can you ask about ?

T introduces the UK: Look at the map. This is our motherland China. Th at’s the UK. The UK is far from China. It will takes us 30 days to get to the UK by ship. And 11 hours by plane. There are many famous places here. Look, this is Big Ben, the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, Cambridge剑桥大学Oxford牛津大学. And football is very popular in the UK.
