Lesson 18：Friendship Between Animals 一．

教材分析

本单元主要围绕“动物”展开话题。教材提供两则关于动物友情的故事，帮助学生更多地了解动物，由于课文句式较简单、语篇理解较轻松，因此，教师在教学中可着重培养学生使用英语进行创新的能力。

二．教学目标

1. 语言技能：

能根据图片等相关信息进行故事创作。

2. 掌握词汇：

friendship，rhino，skin，warn, insect, relationship, survive, hippo, tortoise, truly, boundary 短语：touch one’s heart

3.教学重点、难点：

运用头脑风暴阐述自己的观点并进行故事创造。

4.情感态度:

⑴.了解动物之间的友谊，以及动物之间有趣的故事。激发学生热爱动物的情怀。

⑵. 加深学生对朋友和友谊的正确理解。

五．教学过程：

Step I

Lead in

1. ---Good morning, boys and girls. Do you have friends?

Who is he/she? Why do you need friends?

--- (Show some pictures about animals) In the pictures, animals are friendly to each other. Do you think there is true friendship between animals?

Today we will talk about friendship between animals. 2. Then show the objectives to students Step II

New Lesson 1.⑴.Show some pictures and some simple sentences to present the new words and phrases.

学生学习新词，教师注意指导学生发音及拼写。

2. Listen to the passage and answer the questions. 学生听录音填空，之后请几位学生进行回答。

（设计思路：训练学生有目标地倾听主旨大意和细节的能力，对课文内容进行初步了解。）

3. Part1 ⑴.Listen to Part1 and fill in the blanks.

This week Danny learned about _______. He learned about the relationship between the egret and the rhino. The rhino is big and _____. But it lets a small bird called an egret sit _________. They help each other. The egret helps to _______ the rhino’s skin. It also makes noise to ______ the rhino about coming danger. The rhino helps the egret get food more ______.

What is the relationship between the egret and the rhino?

4. Part2 ⑴.Read the lesson and answer the questions. How do Owen and Mzee get on with each other? 学生默读课文，独立思考后进行作答。

Do good friends need to say something to show they care? 学生文章所给提示表达出他们对朋友的理解。

5. Discuss the important sentences in the Lesson. Then read the lesson loudly. （设计思路：培养学生的合作意识和沟通能力。同时对课文语言知识深入了解。熟读课文）

Step III Task 1.

⑴.Look at the two pictures below. What do you think the animals are saying to each other ? Brainstorm it and please also consider the background story to go with the dialogue. 学生发挥想象力进行创造。

⑵.Act it out .

学生表演自己创造的对话。

（设计思路：将自创成果进行展示可以提高学生学习的信心。对话表演需要合作伙伴，此环节可以培养学生的合作意识和沟通能力。）

2. (Show some pictures about animals) When you see them, What can you think of ?... 学生回忆课本描述动物间友谊的句子，进行回答。

（设计思路：巩固课本语言，多渠道使用课本语言，激发学生学习英语的兴趣。）

3. (Show some pictures about friends and friendship)Brainstorm some ideas about what a friend is. 学生根据所给提示表达出他们对朋友的理解。

（设计思路：头脑风暴训练学生的发散思维，学生们都很喜欢，在趣味活动中使用英语，提高学生学习的兴趣和自信。活动中进行德育渗透，并为下一环节的实施做好准备。）

4. Write a short passage according to the questions and tips. Who are your good friends ? How do you get on well with each other ? What will you do to keep your friendship? 学生选择自己喜欢的朋友写下来。

（设计思路：提高英语使用的准确性，达到语言输出的目的。）

Step IV Summary

1. Sum up the text what we learned, the new words, phrases and sentences.

2. Do some exercises. （设计思路：小结本课重点，难点。并通过习题加以巩固。）

Step V Homework Search another way in which animals help one another. Then write a letter to a friend to tell him or her about the two animal friends.

搜索另一个感人的动物间的故事，给自己的朋友写信介绍一下。

（设计思路：学生可以通过上网、查书等多种渠道寻找这个故事，培养学生利用多种信息资源的意识，同时要求学生准确地使用英语进行写作，达到语言输出的目的。）
