Bank or Beach?
第一课时
一、教学目标
1、知识目标:通过学习,学会Vocabulary的地点词汇及target的部分句型,学会唱歌曲Where are you going? 2、能力目标:能够灵活运用句型Where are you going? I’m
going to ….来表达自己或询问他人正在去的地方并作出正确的回答。
3. 情感目标:主动,积极参与学习和交际活动,从中获得学习的乐趣和提高人际交往的能力。通过学习树立学生学习英语的信心和提高用英语进行会话的兴趣。
二、教学重点和难点
1、教学重点:bank, swimming pool, restaurant, shopping mall, hospital, park, supermarket, movie theater及重点句型Where are you going? I’m going to the.... 2、教学难点:如何运用vocabulary的词汇和句型Where are you going? I’m
going to ….来表达自己或询问他人正在去的地方并作出正确的回答。
三、教具准备:Unit3教学卡片,PPT等。
四、教学过程. Step 1
Warm-up 1、Free talk 2、通过Sharp eyes(快速闪过图片)这个游戏复习旧知识。
e.g. P1: What are you doing? P2:I’m doing the dishes.
T: What is he doing? P3: He’s doing the dishes.
【设计意图:这个环节通过学生与教师,学生与学生之间的问答交谈,让学生复习旧的知识“现在进行时”。
由旧知引出新知,为新句型I
am
going
to…作铺垫。同时让老师更好地了解学生的情况,是一个很好的课前热身。】
Step2:Presentation 1、
Today is Sunday, some friends are going to some places. Look! 2、
We meet Dog and ask him:
T: Dog, dog, where are you going?
Dog: I’m going to the movie theater to see a movie.
T:
Great!
(Learn the new word “movie theater”)
3、On the same way to learn the other words. T: Cat, cat, where are you going?
Cat: I’m going to the park to play games. T: Let’s go.
4、Ss: Elephant, elephant, where are you going?
Elephant: I’m hungry, I’m going to the restaurant. T: Wow!
5、Ss:Monkey, Rabbit, where are you going?
Monkey: I want to buy some milk. I’m going to the supermarket. Rabbit: I want to buy a jacket. I’m going to the shopping mall. T: I like shopping! Rabbit &Monkey: But we don’t have money. We are going to the bank to get some money first. 6、Ss: Panda, panda, where are you going?
Panda: I’m hot. I want to swim.
T: Are you going to the swimming pool? Panda: Yes, I am. I’m going to the swimming pool. 7、T: Bird, bird, are you going to the swimming pool?
Bird: No, I’m not. I’m going to the hospital to see a doctor.
T: Oh, no. 【设计意图:创设情景,以我们遇到动物朋友为设计主线,运用句型Where are you going?呈现新词,让枯燥的词语学习生动起来,更容易让学习。在教学单词时并运用了拼读法,并结合词篇中学习。】
Step 3 Practice: 1、
T: There are so many places here, can you read?
(Open the book to P21 and read the words together.) 2、
Play a game: What’s missing?
3、Song activity
1)Watch once, sing after the video, then sing with the video. 2)
Make a new song, fill in the blanks in Part 2 first, then sing it together. 【设计意图:让学生在玩中学,学中玩,有助于对新单词的记忆】
Step 4
Extension: 1、
T: Our friends are going to some places. What about you? Where are you going?
Let’s play a game. 利用多媒体出示图片问:“ Where are we going?”学生回答:I’m going to ….
(通过个别提问、
pair work、替换卡片等形式巩固句型) 【设计意图:本环节以旧带新,从学生感兴趣的话题入手,如最喜欢去的地方,用
“Where are you going?” 让学生来做替换练习,比一比看谁说的词汇又多又新颖,
每当孩子说出的精彩句子与课件中老师翻开的图片一样时,孩子们将会高兴得欢呼雀跃,这时不仅激发了孩子想说英语的兴趣与欲望,同时,孩子们的那一句句丰富而精彩的话语将课堂气氛推向高潮。】
Step 5 Summary 1、There are many beautiful places in the world. Where are you going?(回顾一下本堂课所学的句型和单词。)
2、Let’s enjoy the beautiful places and moving music.
Have them pay attention to civilization, safety, observe public order
Step 6 Homework 1、
Tell your friend your plan and ask others’ their plans in English.

Try to find out more words about places and tell your friends.
