Step 3 Presentation 1.

Show a picture of Bill’s family.

T: Look at the picture. This is Bill’s family. Now, I’m Bill. (The teacher wear the headdress)

Ss: Unit 5 My Family. T: Today is my grandfather’s birthday. Who is my grandfather? Do you know? Can you point? S1: S1 points at the picture.

T: Wonderful! This is my grandfather. Follow me, “grandfather”. (The teacher sticks the word card to the blackboard) Ss: “Grandfather”.

Step 4 Practice 1.

Practice in groups of four. (Imitate the teacher’s introduction) 2.Play a game. The family photos of some students will be flashed quickly. The student whose photo is chosen will be invited to introduce his/her family members. Step 5 Extension Play a video about family. Topic: Father and mother, I love you. Step 6 Homework 1. Introduce your family members to your parents in English. 2. Write the new words.
