Background Information: 1.
These students are in the third grade, and have a few understanding of their basic English.

Their attention in class is more concentrated than that in the past, but also more active.
Teaching objectives:

Affect: Be interested in speaking colors of everything. 2.
Language knowledge and skill: Students can spell and write the new words: yellow, blue, green, and use those to communicate.

Learning strategy: Through the natural things to make the students feeling the feature about the new words. Use the cards and multimedia to make students understand and memorize words.
Key points and Difficult points: To speak the new words about colors: yellow, green, blue. Teaching Aids: colored cards, ppt, two bottles of water

leading-in: Show the picture T: Yes, rainbow! Rainbow is colorful, right? Do you know what colors are these? Ss:绿色、
蓝色
、黄色。。。。。。

Presentation: Listen and Say
T: (Point a color)Yes, very good. It is green, blue, yellow. Ss: Follow the teacher learn the new words. T: Point at any colored items in the classroom, then ask the students: what color is it? Ss: red, green, blue, yellow. Step 4
Practice: Look and Speak in group work
T: Show the colored cards, Divide the students into two groups and assess which group is better.
Ss: When look the colored aspect, must say its English word. And when look the aspect of showing the English word, must say its Chinese meaning. Step 5
Consolidation and Extension: Magic Time T: Prepare the two bottles of pure water and ask the students what color is it? (Tell them the pure water is colorless.) Then the two bottles of water will become the blue and yellow, and ask the students what color is it? Last, pour the blue water into the yellow water, then the water will become green. And ask the question. Homework: Do some experiment to figure out how can make the water change the color, and search the relative information to realize the theory of changing the color.
