I.Warming up

Hello, everyone. I’m your new teacher Miss Wei. I heard all of you are lovely and clever. So my friend Qiaohu wants to play with you, and tell me send the e-mail when I come to Yejin primary school. Now I write the e-mail with problem: how to say “4月6日”in English? Do you know? Nobody knows. Maybe this class will give us the answer. Ok! Let’s learn it.

II.Review

Look at the pictures, can you tell me what season it is? Yes, it’s spring. I like spring best, because it is beautiful. Now which is your favorite season? Why?

Put the 4 seasons on the blackboard. Listen to the tape, find the answers of what months spring/ summer/ autumn/winter begins from with your partners. Then check the answers.

III.Input

“Boom”, play the video about LiuXiang, then input the ordinal numeral. And play games to familiar “first, second, third”.

But who knows the NO.4 in the ordinal numeral? Show the table and ask students find the rules. Then teach “-th”’s pronounce. Next, show some ordinal numerals ask students to discuss with their partners.

IV.Solve the problem.

At the first of the class, we leave the problem of “4月6日”. Then ask kids to say it in English.

V.Practice

Show some date and ask kids to answer it.

Play the tape , let the kids choose the right answers.

Play the games.
