There are dragon boat races in some places. People eat rice dumplings at this festival. The Mid-Autumn Festival is in September or October. They eat moon cakes and fruit. The Double Ninth Festival is in October or November. It is a festival for old. They also climbmountains and eat rice cakes at this festival. 3. 能表达中国传统节日的日期，描述人们在不同的节日里的常见的活动和庆祝的方式。

教学过程：

Step 1. Warming up（预习检查）

Play a game: (每位学生拿一张月份单词卡片，进行自读、互读单词。玩游戏，听单词，拥有所听单词的学生站起来读自己的单词卡片。) 1. Greetings 2. Free talk

Step 2. Presentation

1. 1) 多媒体展示一些有关中一国传统节日的视频，引导学生观察人们庆祝方式并感受节日气氛，学习单词：festival. Chinese festivals 并呈现课题Unit 7 Chinese festivals 2). 引导学生思考并介绍视频中的7个中国节日：

The Spring Festival,

the Lantern Festival, the Qingming Festival, the Dragon Boat Festival, the Double Seventh Festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Double Ninth Festival 2. 引出人物Mike, 并进行介绍，为后面的教学作铺垫。(What festival, when , what do people do/eat) 1)展示一本关于中国节日的绘本，学生边听边看，回答问题
