Knowledge aims: After learning this class, the students can master the four words“handsome , beautiful ,uncle and aunt”and communicate with the ta rget sentences “This is my father. He’s handsome …”

Abilities aims: 1.Enable the Ps practice the dialogue in pairs.

2. Let the Ps use in their life.

About the pupils:

They have known lots of words about introducing somebody ,for example ,” small ,big, tall ,short…”so, It’s easy to learn these words and how to describe someone.

Teaching key and difficult points:

1.掌握本课的单词和句型

Words: handsome , beautiful ,uncle and aunt .

Sentences: This is my father. He’s handsome …

自由交谈,交流,描述人物。

2.注意区分He,She的不同用法。

Teaching aids: The CAI, Cards.

Teaching procedures:

Step1.Warm up

1. Sing English song, Apple trees (sing English song can stimulate pupils’ interest and emotion. Besides ,there are many adjectives that

relate this class ,we can review them, ”round, red, sweet,”and so on )

2. Review what we learned in last class.

I do the action and students guess, for example, I sing an English song, and students say out the phrase “sing English song” and so on. This is more vivid than I ask directly.

Step2.Presentation

1.Show pictures and teach new words

First of all, I will show a family picture about me, ask them to describe her in Chinese(in order to teach the word Pretty) next, show the word and teach(I will ask some students to read the word, if they master these words, if not ,I will teach again)

I will use the same ways to teach other words.

2. teaching the target sentences

I’ll ask them some questions, when we want to acquaint someone who we don’t know, we must want to know her or his appearance, tall or short, thin or fat, pretty or ugly, friendly or unfriendly, How to ask?(guide them to think about)

This is my father. He is handsome.

This is my mother.She is beautiful.

Step3.Practice

1.high and low voice

If I read these words in high voice ,the students must read in low voice, if I read in low voice, they should read in high voice(check if they master these words)

2.bomb game

I will draw a bomb under one word, then, I point they read. But, when I point the word which is on the bomb, they must keep silence, if they read it, we can say “one ,two, three, bomb”(entertaining and useful, they can enjoy it)

3.pair work

Practice the conversation in pairs(cultivate their spirit of collaboration and proper competition consciousness)

Step4.Procedure

I will divide all of them into six groups, then, give one picture to each group, ask them to describe the person in the picture with the target sentences and the words. Then present.

Step5.Homework

Read the new content by themselves.

Step6. Summary

We should be a good student,help others,love others,love our family and the people around us. 孩子们要爱爷爷,奶奶,爸爸,妈妈等,爱我们的家,以及我们周围的人,这一切和相貌无关。
