Step 1 Pre-reading 1. Play a game

T: Boys and girls, first let’s play a game. “Guess my hobbies” one student do the

action, and other Ss guess his or her hobby, ok? S: Ok. (游戏进行中···) 2. My weekends T: Do you want to know my weekends? S: Yes.

T: Ok, here is my weekends.

At weekends, I always visit my grandparents in the morning. I usually chat on

the internet with my e-friends. I often go to the cinema with my friends because

I like watching films. I sometimes go to the park with my family to have picnics.

T: What do I always do at weekends? S: You always visit your grandparents. T: Yes, I always visit my grandparents in the morning. Look at the card, can you

guess the meaning of “visit my grandparents”?

S: 拜访祖父母。

(同上，以做阅读理解的形式渗透词组visit my grandparents, chat on the internet, go to the cinema, have picnics) T: Do you remember my weekends? S: Yes. T: Great. Let’s have a check.

Step 2 While-reading 1. Watch and answer

T: This is my weekends. Our friends are also are talking about their weekends.

Watch the cartoon and please tell me whose weekends are they talking about?

(PPT出示人物图片，由学生自己圈出) S: They are talking about Su Hai, Su Yang Helen and Mike’s weekends.

T: Let’s join them, ok?

2. Listen and judge.

T: Listen to the tape, and then judge these sentences are true or false

If it is false, please correct it.

（1）Su Hai and Su Yang often have dinner with their grandparents at weekends.

(T: parents means 父母grandparents祖父母)
