二年级学生大多数学习兴趣浓厚，良好的学习习惯也在慢慢养成。通过一年多学习，他们已经具备了基本的听说能力，能进行简单的日常问候，也能进行简短的对话交流。

在学本单元之前，学生已经学过相关的动词，如：ride, skip, play, fly, dance, read, sing, draw, play, run, write, swim, fly, jump等；了解并学习了一些颜色类单词，如：red, blue, yellow, green等；能运用What can you see/do? I can… What colour is it? It’s….等进行简单问答。此外，能较熟练地运用I am… I can… I like…等进行交流与分享。

本课主题是In the children’s garden（在儿童乐园里），这是学生及其喜欢的场所。涉及儿童乐园里常见的设施类词汇，如：slide, swing, seesaw等，要求学生在观察各种活动器具的同时，能问答或描述所见（包括色彩）与所做，涉及的句型包括：What can you see? I can see…以及What colour is it? It’s…等，并由此来感受儿童乐园里的快乐与幸福。
