map, country 导入：

T :Today I take a gift for you. If you can guess, I will show you.So listen carefully:It’s a piece of paper.

We can find many places on it. What is it ? S: 地图。

T: Yes. It’s a map. Today we will learn Lesson 9 Let’s Look at a Map!

1 利用一幅地图来演示map.

教师领读。让学生拼读，然后把卡片背过去，出示m_ p, 设计意图

用生动活泼的歌谣进行热身，能在短时间内把学生的注意力吸引到课堂中来，同时还复习了本节课要用到的词汇：up, down,right, left, point.

由猜谜语引入新内容，让学生积极的用英语思维去思考，当学生猜出答案“地图”时，教师可以自然导入新课，同时也使学生在积极思考的过程中体验到学习英语的乐趣。

再让学生拼读，板书map. T : Look .This is a map of the world. (课件出示

A map of the world.) Say fater me , world. Guess , what’s meaning of world? S : 世界。

T :Look at this map. This is ____ . (教师指着地图上中国的位置) S : China.

T: Yes.（出示中国的国旗、天安门、长城的图片）China is our country. China is our country. Say after me , country. 领读，让学生拼读。空出元音字母，让学生拼读，教师板书。

T : What color is China? （把单词图片China 贴到黑板上。）

S : China is red.

T : Yes, China is where we live. We love China!( 让学生大声说

用同样的方法学习Australia, the U.S. , the U.K. 渗透the U.S. , the U.K.是

the United States, the United Kingdom的缩写。

2 让学生听录音，跟读。

3 Play a game. Colour Point 的变化形式。现有教师发口令Point to China, point to Canada, point to the U.K. and point to the U.S. ,now what country can you see? Point to it and then tell me. ________ ，找一名学生到前面指,并说出最后指的国家的英文名称。其它学生在下面指，然后找一个学生到前面发口令。

（二）north, south , east, west

1 引入：Australia is a beautiful country. I want to go on a trip to Australia , I need this. Look at this. 出示指南针，What’s this ?（生：指南针）What can it tell us? (生：方向。) T：Who can show us the directions in our classroom ?

(一个学生指出教室里的东南西北。) 学习这四个词，north, south , east, west，让学生边指着教室里的方向，边学习单词。将元音字母空出来让学生拼读，教师板书。让学生用一个大写字母来代替这个词。（教师事先在教室里相应位置张贴表示方向的单词north, south , east, west。）

做游戏Simon Says，看谁反应最快。师：Point north/ south /east/west. 让学生重复并快速指出教室里的方向。语速越

2 T：Now, we know the directions in our classroom. But I want to know the directions on the map . Who can tell me ? (生：上北下南左西右东) 教师在黑板上贴上表示方向的坐标。

引导学生练习说句子North points up,South points down, East points right, West points left on a map。教师说出North points up,然后让学生仿照其说句子。

4 对话练习：

出示一幅地图，让学生编对话。先给学生一个示范。

A : Hello,____. B : Hello,____. A : I want to go to the park to fly a kite. Where is the park? B : Look at the map. Go north, go east. There it is. A : Thanks. B : You are welcome. 让学生两人一组编对话，展示一两组学生的对话。

5 学习歌曲North, South , East, West (1) 先让学生听一遍歌曲，然后逐句教唱。

(2)让学生边做动作边唱。

Introduce the map of the world in English to your mother, father or your friend. 有时间可以给学生一个示范。

炼学生的反应能力提高学习效率。

随着音乐说歌谣，形式活泼，学生就会非常喜欢练习语言。

学习语言最终是为了运用语言，表达自己的思想，与他人进行交流，对话情景的创设，为学生创造了运用语言进行交流的环境，锻炼学生综合运用语言的能力。

运用一首好听的歌曲结束本节课的教学，使学生体验到学习英语的乐趣。
