While-task procedure （一）Lead the title 1. Tell Ss: Mum do a lot for us. They’re very great! There’s a special day for our mother. That’s Mother’s Day.

It’s on the second Sunday of May every day . (二) Learn the new words and sentences Learn：flower 1. Ask: It’s Mother’s Day. What can I do for Mum?

Answer by the teacher: I can give some flowers to Mum.

2. Read and spell : flower 3. knowledge extension: carnation

Sum-up:

The colourful carnations are for your mothers. The white carnations are not for your mother.
