一．设计意图

The Design Intention

In this period, the first and most vital aim is to help students learn the skills and steps of cloze test. The contents are four skills and three steps. There are some related exercises to train them the skills and steps to facilitate students to use the proper ways and steps to do close test and improve the efficiency.

Besides, the second aim is to educate students to have a constructive philosophy of life: to be strong, positive and active in life and learn to appreciate the amazing usages of words, phrases idioms and sentences. 二．教学目标

Enable students to use appropriate skills and steps to do cloze test more efficiently. 2.

Educate students to have a constructive philosophy of life. 3.

Learn to appreciate words, phrases and idioms used in the articles

教学过程

The Teaching Process Step 1: Lead-in. (设计意图：询问学生高考题型中最怕的是哪一个，由此引出这节课的主题,从而进入学习，训练，应用与欣赏。) T: Which question type in the CEE do you feel most terrified? Ss: Cloze Test! T: Yet, the total scores of cloze test take up one-fifth of the CEE scores! Actually, they are 30 scores! So, you should clearly know that cloze test is of vital significance! I know some of you don’t know how to conquer cloze test and get high marks in this part, so let’s try together! Step 2: Learning of the four skills and training. (设计意图：通过分别地学习让学生知道做完形填空的四个技巧，同时加以习题的训练，以让学生从了解到学会这四种技巧。）

Task 1: Learning of the 4 skills separately 1)

Logic in the contest: The context can help you a lot. 2)

Common Sense: Common knowledge is a must if you are to learn

Collocations: Improve your ability of distinguishing words and accumulate more collocations(固定搭配). 4)

Emotional tone: Understand the emotional tone(感情基调) of the author or the feelings of main characters.

Step 4: Three steps of cloze test.

（设计意图：通过学习完形填空的解题步骤并加以训练，让学生认识到正确的解题步骤对于高效解题的重要性.) 1.
