II. The presentation of the new material 1. How many letters are there in the alphabet? Lead the students to find the missing letter “i”. Present the letter “i” in a little story about Peppa Pig. Peppa and her family are having a picnic in the park. They have many delicious foods. 2. Show the students the second part of the story. She is nine. She has a bike. She likes her bike. She can ride it and she feels fine. 3. Show the videos about the pronunciation:

Look, imitate and read aloud;

III. Drill 1. Present the students some words with letter i. Guide them to spell and read the words in rhymes. 2. Ask the students to say the chant.

3. Sing a song with the music. Do you want to ride?

Or would you rather hide? How about a slide

across the river wide?

IV. Practice 1. Stimulate the students to know more about Peppa and her family.

Touching game. Ask one student to touch the pictures. Then show the sentences with “i_e”. Have them read them out loudly.

Mummy Pig: Our life is very fine.

Daddy Pig: It’s time to sing.

Grodge: My shoes are size nine. Peppa: My father’s wife is my mother. 2. Group work 1. Four students do it in their group. Each one of them has a letter “i” and many consonants.They should make their own words with letter “i”. Then show their words in public. Problem presupposition

Maybe the students will be afraid to create a strange word such as “tih”. Teacher should show them an example before doing this task and encourage them to make any new word as long as it contains letter “i”. 3. Group work 2. Provide each group a blanket paper. Encourage them to create more words with “i_e” and write them down on the paper. Don’t write the words which teacher has given. Then ask one group to show us what words they have made. Problem presupposition

When they have finished the task they may have some repeated words. Teacher should tell them that they should remove the repeated words when they are reporting.

4. Have students listen to George’s diary and fill in the blanks. V. Consolidation 1.Teacher makes the words with the consonant and vowel words on the bb. 2.Ask them to read the words quickly. VI. Homework 1.Tell the story about Peppa to your friend or parents. 2. Read more books.
