STORY: PETER AND THE PUPPY 菊城小学

教学设计

教学内容:A story (Peter and the Puppy)

故事内容:本故事讲述小男孩Peter每天放学后都要去学校旁边的宠物店看一只小狗,他非常想买这只小狗。询问了店主小狗售价35美元后,他回去数自己的零用钱,可惜只有25美元,于是接下来,妈妈给他买冰激凌的2美元他省了下来,而且主动帮爸爸洗车,获得5美元的奖励,现在他有32美元了。当他再次去到宠物店,他欣喜地发现小狗降价了,只要32美元,他实在太开心了!第二天当他带着32美元来到店里准备买下心仪已久的小狗时,令他吃惊的是,小狗不见了……

教学内容分析:

本故事围绕小狗这一线索,以小狗售价的变化,以及小男孩的心情变化推动剧情发展。由一开始的买不起到买得起却买不到,整个故事的剧情跌宕起伏。故事的最后由学生自己创编,为学生提供了思维的开拓的空间。另外,故事大部分内容以对话形式呈现,学生通过模仿小男孩的语气进行英语表达,强化了对故事内容的理解。

设计思路:

故事围绕Peter的情感发展进行,因此我在设计时围绕wants to buy \ eager --- has only $25 \ sad, worried --- gets 7 dollars \ happy, hopeful --- on sale \ very happy, excited --- has gone \ very sad, upset 这几个导致Peter 情感变化的关键点和情感起伏的形容词来展开教学。

学情分析:

五年级学生的年龄在十一二岁左右,虽处于高年段,但仍然活泼好动,喜欢直观形象思维和抽象思维相结合,对游戏、竞赛、画画仍保持兴趣,因此本课设计也适当融入了这样一些激趣元素。授课学生大部分对英语有着较浓厚的学习兴趣,但也有少数学生由于遇到困难,学习兴趣会随之减弱。尤其是在对高年段学生培养听、说、读、写的技能提出了更高要求时,更加需要教师面向全体学生,以学生的发展为宗旨,始终把激发学生的学习兴趣放在首位,引导学生端正学习态度,掌握良好的学习方法,培养学生良好的学习习惯。

另外,五年级学生还存在着学习方法和学习策略经验不足等问题,但他们却有着极强的求知欲强和表现欲。根据学生的心理特点,我课上多以表扬为主,注重对学生英语学习

兴趣的培养,鼓励他们大胆说、积极做、认真想!让学生们在玩玩、做做、说说中学习英语。但这个年级的学生在学习方法和学习策略上还有很大差距,尤其在答题技巧和技能方面还缺少锻炼,因此需要教师引起关注和思考。

教学目标:

知识与技能目标:

1.学生能借助图片,声音及关键词等来理解故事大意。

2.学生能借助图片、关键词讲述故事梗概,并能通过用自己的语言表现故事情节及人物对话。

3.学生能发挥想像力,说出故事的不同结局。

情感态度目标:

通过故事体验渴望、伤心、焦急、开心、充满希望、激动、郁闷、失望等情感起伏变化的过程。教育学生无论生活给予我们什么,我们都要泰然处之,积极乐观。

教学重点:

1.学生能理解故事大意,并能够通过图片、关键词等讲述故事。

2.学生能为该故事续写出有想像力的结局,并能通过图画、语言表达出来。

教学难点:

流利地讲述故事,并续写出精彩的故事结局。
