一般过去时

我们已经接触过“一般现在时”、“现在进行时”和“一般将来时”。但如果要描述过去的事情，该如何表达呢? 请仔细观察下面的例句，然后补全结论部分中所缺的内容。

【例句】

1. I was late for school this morning.

2. Susan wasn’t born in Shanghai.

3. Were your parents at home yesterday? 4. Where were you born? 【结论】

1. 一般过去时表示过去某一时间发生的动作或存在的状态，经常与表示________ 的时间状语连用，如：yesterday，the day before yesterday，last week，last month，last year，a moment ago，just now，in 2014等。

2. 通过观察上面的例句我们发现动词be的过去式形式有两种：am，is的过去式为________; are的过去式为________。

3. 含动词be的一般过去时的各种句式：

1) 肯定句式：“主语+ was / were + 其他.”

2) 否定句式：“主语+ was / were + ________ +其他.”

3) 一般疑问句式：“ __________+主语

+其他?”

肯定回答为：“Yes, 主语+was / were.”

动词be的过去时有四巧：

一是时间状语巧，表示过去的短语要记牢；

二是形式巧，单数was，复数were；

三是否定句结构巧，not紧跟was／were；

四是疑问句式巧，was／were向前跑(提前)。
