Unit 7 It’s raining！

本单元主要谈论描述天气及不同天气状况下所做的事。能描述各种常见天气。能正确使用现在进行时态（Present progressive tense）; 能用how引导的问句表达问候（How questions）. 关心与我们紧密联系的天气状况，以及如何在不同天气下如何应对，培养学生具有一定的环保意识、责任意识和关爱他人之心，达到人与自然的和谐。

。根据《新课标》要求，本课以The weather为话题，围绕describe the weather和describe what you are doing这两个功能展开的。教学内容与贴近学生实际生活，容易激发学生交流的兴趣。同时，在循序渐进提高学习的过程中，本课教学内容的学习，会为本单元的进一步学习基础，为最后语言的输出（写作）提供有力的支持。

Step1. Leading-in 1. Listen t o a English song “Rhythm of the Rain”。

Step 2. Presentation 1. (Show some pictures of the weather) Let Ss look at the pictures and ask them how the weather is. Ss learn the new words and expressions with the help of the pictures. 2. Look at the pictures in 1a. Then read the new words on the right. Ask the Ss to match the words with pictures. 3. Check the answers.

Step 3. Listening 1. Now let's look at the city names in the box in 1b. Please read after me. Ss read the cities after the teacher. 1b Listen and write these city names in the boxes above. 2. Now, We’ll hear four conversations. Listen carefully, point out each city in the picture as it comes upon the tape. Play the recording a second time. Ask Ss to write the name of the city in the picture of its weather. 3. Check the answers.
