(C Story time) 教学设计

1. Teaching Objectives

After this lesson, students will be able to:

(1) Understand the story with the help of pictures and teachers;

(2) read the story fluently with emotion and act it out with friends.

(3) Students can understand the meaning of gorilla , noise ,exciting in the story according to the picture and the context of the story.

(4) Know what they shouldn’t do when they are in public places.

2. Analysis of Students

Students are from Grade Five in Xing Hai Yuan Primary School. Film is one of their favorite topics. So this lesson is aimed at arousing students’ interest and teaching them how to perform correctly in public. Teacher will offer students lots of opportunities to talk and share with others.

3. Analysis of Content

The topic of this lesson is about public manners . Its content is not that difficult. But teacher intends to reorganize the learning material and improve students’ listening, talking ,observing and thinking abilities.

(1) Key Points

a. Have students get the whole point of what is the right thing to do in public places.

b. Have students pronounce words properly and .

(2) Difficult Points

a. to activate thinking through cooperation, prediction, etc.

b. to act it out with facial expressions and actions.

T: Do you know the name of the film?

S:King Kong

T:King Kong is a big Hollywood film. Do you like the film? Why?

S:Yes,I think it’s funny.

T:I like films too, because I think the film is so exciting

T:King kong is so exciting, so what animal is it?

S:Gorilla.

T:What's gorilla like?

S:It's big and strong.

T: In the film the grill a is, very big, it's bigger than a house, is it real? let’s go to the zoo and find out the real gorilla! which one is gorilla?

T:Today Zoom and Zip went to the cinema,and see a film about gorilla too, let’s watch a video and answer 2 questions!

Try to practice reading in different ways ! and practice some important sentence.

T: What’s the sound? (Play the sound of Zoom eating a popcorn)

How do you feel when you hear the sound when you are watching a film? Let student talk about how they feel and introduce” noise”

When the sound makes you feel unhappy and uncomfortable, the

sound

become noise.

T: Should we make noise in these places? What should we do?

Let student think and get the answer by themselves.

Listen and guess what does Zoom and Zip say? What does the tiger say?

1)Read the story and follow the tape.

2)Put the pictures in right order. Check the answers.

Step 4: Production

1)Try to act it out in groups.

2) Think about if you are Robin ,What will you do next?

Let the students talk about the ending of the story.

S: Maybe I will say sorry to others.

S: Maybe I will pick up the popcorn.

S: Maybe I will talk quietly next time.

Step 5: Homework

1.Tell the story to your parents.

2.Collect more public signs.

3.Optional: Watch a film and talk quietly ,keep clean ,pay more attention to your public manners.

Teaching reflections:

当初选择Story time的初衷在于:自己听过的大型公开课中,有听说课,单词课,阅读课,语音课,选材主要来自课本的Let’s talk, Let’s learn, Let’s spell, read and write,唯独没有听过选材为Story time的公开课,所以自己想做一个小尝试,也希望通过这样选材,能引发各教师们对Story time的一些思考,它也是小学英语的一个课时,也应得到大家的重视。但是这个选材对于我自己也存在着一些困惑和难题,没有任何的模板可以参考,素材也少之又少,甚至对于课型也会让大家模糊。Story time 是属于绘本课,阅读课还是复习课呢?我最初的初衷是想将它作为绘本课来上,但是由于功力不够,后来又综合讨论,将其定位为阅读课。所以这个课型并没有很好地定位,后面经过几次大改,导致后面的时间分配不均,自己自信也不足。这给了我很大的反思就是要最先把课型定下来,不要轻易地改动,进而努力地完善它。为了最大限度地保留课堂的真实性,在课前我与学生只沟通半小时,主要是一些规则。在真实上课时,问题就凸显出来了,学生无法根据指令演去很好操练,导致演这部分甚至没有达成自己的预期目标。通过这次的借班上课,我也懂得了充分地与学生沟通,尤为重要。后面孩子表演的部分很亮眼,可惜由于设备原因,最后一点画龙点睛的部分没有完全录下来,但是教学本身不就是一门有缺憾的艺术么?
