Teaching aims 1.
Ss can distinguish the singular or plural form of Nouns. Ss master the usage of the sentence structure: there are + No. + color adj. + Nouns. Teaching key points and difficulties Ss master the usage of the sentence structure: there are + No. + color adj. + Nouns. Correctly. Chant: one chant Teaching aids CAI, big pic, pics in PPT, mime show, crayon, paper Teaching procedures Step 1Warming up. 1.
(CAI) T plays the chant, Ss sing along and do the actions. 2.
T asks question: where is the best place for us to see animals? Step 2 Presentation of Activity 1 1.
(pics in PPT) T shows some pics of zoo, then T invites all Ss to see animals at the zoo. 2.
(pics in PPT) T says: There are some... Ss count and say: one, two, three... each time when seeing a kind of animals, practise for the pattern. 3.
(big pic) T shows the big pic, T guides Ss to say: There are some horses, one, two, three; there are some snakes, one, two, three; there are some tigers, one, two, three; there are some birds, one, two, three. 4.
(book) Ss open their books, read the lyric after T, then by themselves. 5.
(CAI) T plays the video, Ss watch, sing along the do the actions together for several times. 6.
(CAI) T invites 12 Ss to mime the houses, snakes, tigers and birds, each kind of animals 3 persons, standing in the middle of the classroom, the 12 Ss do the actions, the other Ss sing the chant. Step 3 Relax/Review
T plays the chant again, Ss sing along for relax and review. Step 4 Presentation of Activity 6/Task time
1.
(crayon & paper) Ss work in groups of 4, each student draws one kind of their favorite animals in plural forms and color them. 2.
Ss describe their drawings: there are + No. + color adj. + Nouns. 3.
T collects some pics from Ss for next class’ use.
