5. A Circus in the park.
(Reading and writing)

一,教学目标
1通过阅读,扩大学生的词汇量。进一步提高英语的阅读水平。培养学生良好的英语阅读习惯,并指高学生的写作水平。
2.介绍英美文化背景,帮助学生理解不同文化背景下的习惯用语并增加学习兴趣,拓宽眼界,增长知识。并能模仿短文,用英语写日常生活中的事情。
3.能借助图片读懂简单的故事或小短文,并养成按意群阅读的习惯,并提高写作能力。。
4..能结合上下文,理解句子。养成用英语思维的习惯,阅读速度有所提高,能够根据阅读材料的相关内容,回答一些较为复杂的问题。
二,教学重难点:
让学生感受故事的情景和内容。能够积极地接收各种信息、发现问题,如生疏的词语,twice, twice brother, twice sister, lots of photos, made snowmen, went skiing, so much fun,过去时态,进而逐步领会故事概要的能力;
并能模仿短文的写作特点,运用这些词句写出自己生活中的故事
。这是本课的重点也是难点。
教学过程

Chant: Where were you yesterday?(All the Ss stand up and do the action) 三.
Leading- in
1、T: You were happy yesterday, but I had a good time last winter.
Today we’ll learn U5 A circus in the park . Reading and writing : Last winter
Retell my last winter
T: I went to Haina last winter. The weather was fine. I went to Boao. I did many activities.
2、Let Ss imagine and judge what activities I did.( The activities are included in the picture) The Ss say out the vocabulary (Use the past form) T: This is my last winter. Do you want to know other person’s last winter? 四、Presentation
1, Introduce Louise and Heather
T: This is Louise and this is Heather. They’re very beautiful .They’re the same age and same parents.
They’re twins. 2.Read the passage and answer the question: Where did Louise and Heather go last winter winter? 3.Read again and find the new vocabulary
Ask the Ss to underline the new vocabulary in their books. 4. To learn the vocabulary.
