一，教学目标：

1、能听懂、会读、会说单词：Christmas,buy,presents,next,put,pretty things,stocking, finally,early,turkey,pudding 以及词组：always have a lot of fun，buy presents for … some pretty things，

Christmas Eve, wait for, have a good time, It looks great. 2、能理解并运用“first”、“next”、“then”and“finally”

3、会读并能理解课文。

4、能了解更多关于圣诞节及其他西方节日。

2、I can use “first”, “next”, “then”and “finally”.(我能理解并会用“first”, “next”, “then”and “finally”) 3、I know more about Christmas and Western holidays.（我能了解更多关于圣诞节和西方国家的节日）

Step1、

Warm-up 1,Sing a song T:Boys and girls,Are you ready for the English class? Ss:Yes.

T:First,let’s sing a song “We wish you a Merry Christmas”

,you can sing with me.OK? Ss:OK.

2,Free-talk T:This song is about a holiday. It’s...? Ss:Christmas.

T:Yes.Today we will learn Unit 8 At Christmas. T: Do you know Christmas?What do you think of Christmas?You can say some words or phrases. S:Chritmas tree.

T: Yes,there is a tree on the blackboard. It’s a Christmas tree.There are some pretty things on the tree.Do you know some pretty things? S:Yes. T:There is a star,a bell,a ball and so on. They are pretty things.Read after me, some pretty things.Anything else? S: A stocking

T:Yes.Here’s a stocking.We can put presents in the stocking. T:Any other things? There is an old man.He is ...? S:Father Christmas

T: Yes .Children like him very much.Do you like him? S:Yes. T:Read after me,Father Christmas. T:On Christmas Day,Father Christmas will give （指图presents

）to children.

S:Presents.(礼物) T:Yes,read after me,pre sents.

3,Let’s chant. T;First,listen to me.

Stockings,stockings,I like stockings.

Presents,presents,you like presents.

Pretty things,pretty things,they like pretty things.

Christmas,Christmas,we all like Christmas.

Step2、Presentation（进入课文）

T:We all like Christmas.Do Mike and his family like Christmas?Let’s watch a cartoon.Before watching ,there is a question for you. 1、Watch and answer Q1、Do they always have a lot of fun at Christmas?

T:Here “ always have a lot of fun”means they usually very happy at Christmas.

What fun?

Let’s watch a cartoon. Ss:Yes,they do.

3、Read and find T: How do they spend their Christmas? Read picture1、2. Underline what do Mike and his family do before Christmas. Such as

buy presents for ...OK? You can discuss with your partners. （自读课文，画出他们圣诞前做的事,PPT呈现中文学习提示：你可以把Mike 和家人如何准备圣诞节的词组画出来，例如：buy presents for family and friends等。PPT此时出现课文中1、2两幅图）

Before Christmas ,first(板书)

S：

buy presents for our family and friends Do you know what’s the meaning in Chinese? Let’s read after him/her. （这个词组可以让好的孩子释义且带读，我顺势板贴。）

T: Any other answers? S: buy a Christmas tree(这个词组可以指板书上的圣诞树，让孩子理解意思) T:Next one? S: sometimes go to see Father Christmas T:Here sometimes,there are two words in it.some,times.means 有时

（PPT呈现sometimes 告诉孩子有两个单词组成，让孩子说出意思）

T:Next（板书）?They…? S: put some pretty things on the tree.

T:You can follow me .(T做动作，孩子跟着做，边做边说) T；They aslo...? S: put presents under the tree. T:Can you put presents under the Christmas tree?(这里可以全班一起说put presents under the tree 让一个孩子做这个动作，请1-2个孩子）

T：It looks great！Let’s say together.

4、Read and choose T:Before Christmas,they do a lot of

things.

On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day,what do they do?There are four pictures,

Go on reading and choose which pictures are right? S:A、B、D. T：Let’s look at pictureA T: Then（板书）

they…? S: A,put a stocking on ourbeds and wait for presents T: wait for presents.Do you know what’s the meaning?等待礼物

T:Let’s look at Picture B.Finally（板书）Christmas Day is coming.They…? S:B,wake up early and open our presents T;Look at these two words: wait,cake---wake ,wake up(开火车读，齐读) T:wake up early what’s the meaning? (PPT) A: wake up at 6:00

T: turkey means火鸡

T:pudding means 布丁，do you like pudding? S:Yes. T:Do they always have a lot of fun at Christmas? Ss:Yes!

5、Read the text T:Now let’s read after the computer.（跟读）

T:This time read in groups.(小组读) Very good.You all did a good job.

6、(PPT出现第一个目标)T:Now can you read Story time loudly? Ss:Yes. T:Good.Let’s do some exercise.

Step3 Practice 1、Read and match. T:Now turn to page80,can you read and match?Let’s begin. (PPT出现read and match内容) T:Time’s up.Let’s check the answers. T:Now let’s say：First,they….Next,they…Then,they…Finally they…(将六个选项归类,T带读)

2、Decorate the tree T:Christmas is very interesting,let’s decorate the tree together,OK?

Now work in groups.You can use “first ,next,then,finally”

3、Let’s know more about Christmas. T:Christmas is the birth of Jesus Christ.It’s on the 25th of Dec. On this day,people go to church and take part in special religious services. Now Christmas is popular in China too.We can see Christmas tree in our shops and streets.We also exchange presents to each other.such as apples. Halloween is also an important holiday in Weatern countries.People uaually make a pumpkin lantern at Halloween. Easter is an interesting holiday,too.It’s in March or April.People usually make chocolate eggs.Children will get a toy rabbit as a present. T:Can you know more about Christmas and Western holidays? Ss:Yes,I can.

Step4 Homework 1、Read Story time loudly and try to recite.(读Story time并尝试背诵) 2、Search more about Christmas and other Western holidays.(搜集更多关于圣诞节和其他西方节日的资料)
