本课在单元教学中的地位:
本单元的主题是January is the first month.本课是这个单元的第五课,顺延前四课的内容继续学习有关月份的相关知识,继续学习序数词的用法和五、六月份的主要节日和相关活动。在本单元前四课已经出现了January is the first month of the year .和介绍节日的相关活动,因此,学生已经能够理解序数词的用法,并能用序数词表达具体的日期。所以,我将教学目标设定为学生不仅能够理解、运用May is the fifth month of the year .June is the sixth month of the year .并且进一步挖掘这两个月的主要节日相关的活动,并且通过Father’s Day 和 Mother ’s Day活动的挖掘对学生进行情感教育,学生通过设计的闯关任务解决问题,同时体验成功的快乐。
教学目标
1、知识目标:
a.能够听、说、认读以下单词和句子May, June, the fifth month of the year,the sixth month of the year, Labour Day, May Day, Mother’s Day, gift, Children’s Day, Father’s Day 等。
b.能够听、说、读、写以下句子:
May is the fifth month of the year.
June is the sixth month of the year.
2.能力目标:
a、学生能够在PPT设置的闯关任务的引导下正确描述有关May 和June的句子、节日及由节日进一步延伸出的活动。
b、学生能够灵活运用所学语句进行交流
把5-6月的节日情况及相关活动进行具体描述。
3.情感目标:
通过节日及相关活动的学习,渗透文化意识,及时进行情感教育,提高学生的学习兴趣,并增强他们的自信心。
教学重点
1.词语: May, June, the fifth month of the year, the sixth month
of the year, Labour Day, May Day, Mother’s Day, gift, Children’s Day, Father’s Day 等
2. 句子: May is the fifth month of the year.
June is the sixth month of the year.等。
教学难点
1、序数词的理解和在相关日期、月份表达时的运用。
2、让学生掌握在May 和June两个月的主要节日,并能够交流主要的活动。

Step1. Warm-up
1.师生问候. Good afternoon , boys and girls.
(设计意图:通过问候,拉近师生间的距离,迅速进入英语学习的氛围)
2.Lead in the topic :Today, We are going on learning something about months .(设计意图:引入主题)
3.Let’s play a game .
There are six levels in this game .If you pass this game ,you can get a gift.(设计意图:课件出示闯关游戏并进行说明,通过闯关游戏布置任务,激发学生学习的积极性,同时引出本课学生较陌生的单词gift,帮助学生理解词义,也增强学生的求知欲)
Step 2.Revision :(Level 1)
1、Task 1:Just read
month、 January、February 、March、 April
(设计意图:通过简单的任务迅速复习本单元前四课的重点的单词) 2、Task 2:Fill in the blanks.
1)There are _twelve months in a year .
2) January is the first month of the year.
3)New Year's Day is on January 1st .
4)February is the second month of the year.
5)In China , Spring Festival_is usually in January or
February .
6)People plant trees on_Tree Planting Day.
7)Easter is in March or April .
(设计意图:通过练习题,复习、回忆前四课有关月份和节日的主要句型)
Step 3. Presentation and practice (Level 2--5)
Level 2
1、show a calendar . Lead in the new words and sentence . Practise : May、fifth、May is the fifth month of the year. (设计意图:引导学生继续闯关,从年历中找到五月,并且通过观察理解fifth词义说出May is the fifth month of the year.这一句型)
2、Task 1:Let’s learn
Show a calendar of May .Learn the new phrases and sentences. Help students know :There are 31 days in May .Labour Day ,or May Day is on May 1st . May 1st is called Labour Day .(设计意图:引导学生从五月月历中了解五月有31天,劳动节在五月一日)
3、Task 2:Let’s practise.

4、Task 3:Look and say.
Show two pictures .Students look and say : People sing and dance to celebrate May Day . (设计意图:通过观察学生能自己表描述节日的主要活动)

How do you celebrate Labour Day ?
We _______ on Labour Day .(设计意图:通过问题引导,进一步挖掘五一劳动节可以进行的活动,拓展词汇,拓宽学生思维,)

6、Task 1:Look and think
Show the calendar of May . Lead in the new information about Mother’s Day and practise : Mother's Day ,Mother's Day is also in May .Mother’s Day is on the second Sunday in May.(设计意图:引导学生通过观察,学习母亲节的知识,并进一步延伸文化信息,让学生了解母亲节是在五月的第二个星期天)
7、Task 2 :Look and say
Show a picture of Mother’s Day ,and help students say more about the sentence and practise : We give ___gifts to our mothers to show our love.(设计意图:引发学生思考,引导在母亲节这一天用不同的方式向母亲表达自己的爱。)
8、Task 3:Let’s say
Question :What do you want to say to you mother?
Happy Mother’s Day !
Mom ! I love you forever!
(设计意图:引导学生向母亲表达自己的节日祝福,深化gift的含义,可以是送物品,也可以是语言的表达)。
9、Task 4:Question
What can you do for your mother ?
(设计意图:引导学生用实际行动向母亲表达自己的爱,做一些力所能及的事)。
10、Let’s read

11、Show a calendar of June .Lead in the words and sentence about June . Practise :sixth ,June is the sixth month of the year. Children’s Day. (设计意图:通过观察日历,了解六月及儿童节的表达方法)
12、Task 1 : Let’s learn
1) The first day of June is Children’s Day in China .

3) June 1st is Children's Day in China .(设计意图:通过观察日历,进一步学习儿童节在六月一日的表达方法,通过练习巩固句型)
13、Task 2:Look and think
Show a picture of Children’s Day . Help students say :Many children perform to celebrate Children's Day.(设计意图:通过图片,引导学生通过说sing and dance 得出perform,学会表达孩子们在儿童节的主要活动)
14、Task 3:Think and say
How do you celebrate Children’s Day ?(设计意图:通过问题引导,学生能够发散思维,说出一些与儿童节有关的活动的动词短语,也丰富学生对于儿童节的了解)

15、Show a picture of Father’s Day .Learn and practise the phrase :Father’s Day(设计意图:让学生准确掌握父亲节的短语)
16、Task 1:Let’s learn
Father’s Day is on the__________ in June.(设计意图:通过观察六月份的日历,让学生通过对母亲节文化知识的学习延伸思维,能够自主得出Father’s Day is on the third Sunday in June,增强学生对跨文化知识的认识,并进一步做强调)
17、Task 2 : Let’s read and say
Lead in the sentence and practise :We give gifts to our fathers to show our love. Ask students :What are the gifts ?
Help students know the meaning of gifts .Give a model to help students say or write write on a card :
(设计意图:通过学习句子We give gifts to our fathers to show our love.和问题What are the gifts ? 进一步引导学生对gift 有更深层次的理解,并且对学生进行情感教育,要表达自己对父亲的爱,并展示一张父亲节的贺卡,给学生贺卡上的语言做范例)
18、Task 3: Let’s say
Question : What can we do in June ?(设计意图:通过June is a nice month .What can we do ?发散学生的思维,让学生可以说出六月可以进行的活动)
19、Task 4:Number the sentences
Students read the sentences and then number them.(设计意图:学生自己读句子,通过感知给句子排序)
20、Task 5:Let’s read
(设计意图:整体读并感知有关于六月的句子,加深认读和理解) Step 4 : Extension and consolidation(Level 6)
Let’s talk:
1、Show the pictures of New year’s Day 、Tree Planting Day 、Spring festival、Easter、Children’s Day 、Mother’s Day 、Father’s Day 、Labour Day .Give three tasks for students. Students choose one to practise .(设计意图:通过三个不同难度的句子,让学生自己选择其中一个进行练习,既是对本单元所学知识的巩固练习,也是让学生发散思维所做的拓展练习,让学生综合运用目标语言)
Task 1 :

Task 2 :Talk in pairs.
Which festival do you like ?

2、Check students
After class ,you can get the stars .
All the students finish the levels and pass the game ,so you can get the gifts .(设计意图:通过检测,对学生进行评价,最后做总结,回应一开始上课设置的奖品gift,并且教育学生要学会分享)
Step 5 : Homework
1、Speak out your love to your mothers and fathers in English .
2、Talk about the things that you can do for your mothers and fathers with your parters in English .(设计意图:通过设计的口语作业让学生发散思维在生活中运用本单元的重点词句,提高学生综合运用语言的能力。)

课后反思:
在教学过程中,感觉好的方面有:
1.运用“任务型”教学法,将整篇课文划分成多个小任务,降低学习的难度。
2.运用游戏教学法,通过设置的闯关游戏,逐步引导学生学习,关注学生的学习积极性和兴趣。
3.对学生的评价及时且评价方法多样化。
4.面向全体学生,对学生语言训练的面广。
5.在教学过程中,及时由课文中的点知识进行思维的拓展,帮助学生为后期语言的输出积累词汇和信息。
6.由课文中的知识延伸,及时进行跨文化知识内容的渗透。
7.结合节日的学习对学生进行情感教育。
8、教学环节联系紧密,层层深入引导学生学习。
9.深入挖掘教材,帮助学生把知识和生活实际运用真正联系起来,使教材得以最大化和最优化利用,学生的综合运用语言的能力得到了充分的提高。
待改进之处:
1.在拓展练习中,学生的语言还是局限性比较大,没有充分的挖掘与这些节日相关的语言信息
2.拓展部分时间有些仓促,检测的学生面不够广泛。在这一环节应充分调动学生的思维,调动学生综合运用语言的积极性和能力。
