Step One: Pre-task preparation 1. Warming-up Ask pupils to sing a song on page 3. 2. Ask and answer T: What colour is the book? Ss: It’s yellow. T: What colour is this apple? Ss: It’s red. ... Step Two: While-task procedures 1. Learn to say the words about colours. Ask pupils to listen and say the words. 2. Talk about the main picture in the book. T: Please look at the picture. What can you see?

Ss: I can see a ball. T: What colour is it? Ss: It’s red and white. 3. Practice and activity. Ask pupils to walk around the classroom and talk about what they can see and what colour is it. 4. Learn to say and act. Ask pupils to read after the teacher. Step three: Post-task activity Colour and write on page 4. Step four: Homework 1. Listen to the tape and read twice. 2. Write the words and have a dictation.
