教材分析：

《Lesson 11：Mr. Wood Teaches a Lesson》是冀教版小学英语第七册第二单元第3课的内容。冀教版教材的特点就在于为学习者提供了大量的图文并茂的内容，在图片的语境中来认读单词、句子，并且在预设的对话语境中学习语言。学生们对教材感兴趣才会有学习的欲望，本课为我们提供了两个运用语言的语境。第一个为师生讨论的天气及温度的相关知识的对话，这个内容与我们的生活息息相关，我们生活中离不开天气，更需要温度；第二、三部分则为我们列出了几个生活中常见的图形，并联系现实生活中与图形相关的食物，给学生们提供自由讨论的空间，我们周围的事物是由各种图形组成的，图形与我们的生活更是密不可分。因此，从本课的编排来看，能够调动孩子们的学习欲望。

学情分析：

六年级学生正处于认知兴趣迅速发展的时期，他们对英语学习有着较强的好奇心，有强烈的表现欲，这是学习活动中的积极因素。但他们已学习英语几年了，对这门学科不再有新鲜感，这是学习过程中的不利因素。因此，在教学材料的选择上就要综合考虑这两个方面的因素，既满足他们的需要，又要符合他们的心理特征。在前几册的学习中已经初步认读了circle 和square两个单词，本节课在原有的基础上加以引导，侧重一词多义现象。我们的学生所缺乏的是在语境中运用语言的能力，因此要为他们创设练习语言的各种情景，尽可能多的为他们创造语言实践的机会。从而让学生实现由语言的输入到语言的输出，培养真实自然的语言实践能力，让每个学生有机会感悟、运用语言，从而产生兴奋感和自豪感，树立学生的自信心，培养学生的成就感。

教学目标：

A.知识目标：

1.学生能听、说、读、写四个单词shapes, triangle, square, line, circle.

2.学生能够回答

What’s the temperature? It’s -----degrees.

B.能力目标：

1. 能够运用所学的知识对天气情况进行简单的对话或谈论。

2. 能根据所学，让学生用英语描述自己最喜欢的图形，并能简单说出理由。

C. 学习策略：

1. 能够根据单词的拼读规律，读出本课的单词；并把孤立的词语与生活中相应的事物联系起来。

2. 能够对所学内容进行主动的练习与实践，在口头表达中做到发音清楚、语调达意。

C.情感态度与文化意识：

1.通过对身边熟悉的图形的描述，孩子们进一步加深对英语实用性的认识与了解，保持积极的学习态度，强化学习英语的兴趣。并在表达的过程中培养学生的创造力、想象力、组织语言的能力。

2. 渗透西方人见面时经常谈论天气，与中国人的习惯不同。

Part One: Warming up and revision （4分钟）

1. Greetings:

（1分钟）

T: Are you ready for English class?

Ss: Yes.

2. Revision （3分钟）

Sing ” the weather song”

，and review the words ：rainy，

sunny ，

windy，

cloudy ，snowy .

T: How's the weather today?

Ss: 依据实际的天气情况回答。

T: Let's look at pictures. How’s the weather出示天气图片课件）

Ss:根据图片对不同天气进行描述。

Part Two: New concepts

Step1. New shapes（10分钟）

Ｔ：Boys and girls, Let’s look at this picture. How’s the weather?

Ss:It is sunny.

T: Do you know, What is it?

Ss: sun. this?(出示幻灯片直线)

Ss: 直线。

T:手拿直线形纸

This is a line, too .图片贴到黑板上，同时板书line，并纠正发音。Line is very magic, It can make many shapes. Look!(出示圆形)

b. circle

T:手拿圆的图片，I also have a shape. Here is a circle.贴到黑板上，板书单词.指名读，one by one

pracise:

出示空白圆圈

Here is a circle,，I think it is a watermelon. A watermelon is a circle, Can you?

Ss: 联想到生活中的圆并表达出来。

（设计意图：扩散学生们的思维，由单个的圆联想到与圆相关的实物。）

c. triangle

T: First look at the screen. What about this one? Students can read it in Chinese and teacher reads and writes it down. ［设计思路：利用所学词汇中的读音规律，引导学生发现和运用规律自我认读新的单词。］

T:

line is very magic. Yes? Look triangle, How many lines make a triangle?

Ss : Three lines.

T: Four lines can make a shape .What is it ?

Ss: 正方形。

T: Yes , It’s a square. 板书单词

Read the word one by one.

T：Look carefully, Let’s draw a sun. First, look at this one. What’s

整体复习四个图形，引出单词shape.

T：Line, circle, square and triangle，they are shapes.(Repeat this word and write it down.)

(设计意图：词不离句，单词一定要放到句子中练习。)

f. Practice.

T:手指教室里的门、窗、黑板、I can see a square.

Can you find the these different shapes in our classroom?

Ss:找出教室里不同形状的物品，一起交流。

（设计意图：，在我们生活中出现的不同的形状，把抽象的东西与实际生活联系起来，感受生活中的英语。）

2. Practice（6分钟）

T：My favorite shape is a triangle. Do you know why? Because I like ice cream best. The ice cream looks like a triangle，so triangle is my favorite. What about you? Tell me what’s your favorite shape?

［设计思路：过渡比较自然，由自身喜欢的食品联想自己最喜欢的形状。学生在回答的过程中教师可以根据对方情况问一些与之相关联的问题，增强学生学习兴趣。］

Ss:学生联系生活，说出自己最喜欢的图形，为什么。

同桌讨论，以对话的形式展示。

（设计意图：词不离句，句不离段，发挥学生们的创造力与想象力，体验生活中的图形。把死的知识带入到真实的生活中，做到学以致用。）

T: Do you know what’s Danny’s favorite shape? Let’s look and listen.

3. Read the text（5分钟）

Step2. Temperature

（5分钟）

T: Today I bring something for you.(端起一杯水)

It’s a glass of water. What shape?(指着杯子底部)

Please touch it. How do you feel? (Find a volunteer, and ask him/her to touch it. )

T: Class, look，what’s in my hand?

(手里拿温度计)

Yes, it’s a thermometer.( read twice)

Now，I put

it into the water.

What will I know?

Yes，the water’s temperature.(教读此词并板书)

Who’d like to tell us ,

T: What’s the number?

What’s the temperature?

(Lead them to read this word and write the two sentences on the blackboard.)

T: Do you want to know what’s the temperature inside our classroom? OK，there’s another thermometer on the wall.

(师取下挂在墙上的温度计，走入学生中给学生看)

T:

(板书,在inside之后写下outside).
