一、教学目标：

1.能够在教师引导下，感知语言，并通过上下文和图片猜测，理解下列单词的含义：holiday，bring，give，song。

2.能够运用寻读、默读、跳读等基本阅读策略阅读文本，读懂文本。能够在语境中，理解圣诞节相关的知识: Christmas is a Western holiday. They bring gifts for us. We sing Christmas songs. 能够向他人简单介绍圣诞节习俗。

3.能够通过教师引导，感受圣诞节的文化氛围，了解圣诞节习俗。

二、学情分析：

本课的教学对象是六年级的学生，他们经过三年的英语学习，已经掌握了一些英语基础知识和基本阅读技能。他们思维活跃，积极发言，对英语学习兴趣浓厚，渴望在课堂中展现自我，并且对西方文化很感兴趣。因此，学习本课既能丰富他们的学习经验，更能培养他们的跨文化意识，提高英语交流能力。

三、教学重难点：

重点：能读懂，会说与圣诞节相关的核心词句，理解文章意思。

难点：能用英语向他人介绍圣诞节。

Pre-reading

a. Watch a video! Introduce "Christmas" to the students.

"Christmas lights".

While-reading

Read the passage silently and find something that you don't

understand. Make an explanation of "bring gifts", "give gifts"

and "sing Christmas songs". b.

Read the passage again and underling the answer.
