Teaching Objectives Analysis: 1.

Language Objectives: 1)

To consolidate the usage of body parts words.eg: eyes,ears,mouth,nose,hands,feet,head. 2)

To consolidate the usage of body parts sentences and can do the actions.eg: a)

Touch your nose. b)

Close your eyes. c)

Open your mouth. Say OK. d)

Clap your hands. e)

Wave your hand. f)

Stamp your feet. g)

Nod your head. h)

Shake your head. 3)To consolidate the usage of the sentence structure and can introduce their monsters. a)

It has…. b)

It’s my monster. It has….It has….I love it! 3)

Course Objectives: To have ability to promote themselves and ability of introducing someone’s body parts. 4)

Emotion Objectives:

Body parts are important for us. Let’s take care of our bodies.

Teaching Difficulty: 1.Sentence structure:It has… . 2. Monster introduction. Teaching Aids:

PPT, music, sound, some pictures, word cards ,magic wand, head wears. Teaching Process: Step 1. Warm up and lead -in . 1.

Warm up: All the students sing the song “Head shoulders knees and toes” together while doing the actions. 2.

Lead –in : T: Are you happy today? I’m happy too. But listen, someone is crying now.They are Jerry and Jenny.They are very sad. Because they can’t find their body parts. Look, do they have head? Do they have nose? Do they have hands? So do you want to help them? T: Jenny is for group 1. Jerry is for group 2. If you are good, you can move for 1 step, when you arrive here, you can get a head/ nose/ eyes…

Step 2. Find out the monster and play the game “monster says”. 1.

Find out the monster

T: Listen boys and girls, who is singing? Do you know where is it? Let’s shout “where are you?”

( T tells one student where is it and let him or her to find it out.)

Ss : Where are you? Where are you?……

T: Look,it’s a monster. (t leads students to read the word“monster”.)

2.Play the game“monster says”

1)T: Now, the monster wants to play a game with you. T says ,students do. The students who do the wrong actions are supposed to out of the game.( 注意区分eye Vs eyes,ear Vs ears,head Vs hand。) 2)One student say , other students do . T: Now, we will say,the monsters will do the actions,ok? Who wants to be the little monsters?( choose 4 students come to the front and let them wear different monster headwears.) You will PK .Let’s see who is no.1. 3)We say you do. Students from each group will say the sentences together. The 4 little “monsters”are supposed to do the actions, the last one will game over.(设计意图:此游戏为前两个游戏的升级版。以AB组分别齐读的方式开展。每组同学看到哪个句子变颜色就齐声读出哪个句子,台上扮演monster的四位同学作出相应的动作。当听到炸弹声时需赶紧抱头蹲下。此游戏参与度广,不仅考验组内合作更考验了台上同学的反应和对目标语言是否熟练掌握。)

Step 3. Play the monster video and make a new monster. 1.

Play a video about the monster and practice It has… . T:What does the monster have.? SS: It has 3 eyes. It has 5 feet……

2.Show a magic box and a magic wand.(make up a new monster.)

T takes out a magic box and a magic wand. All the students shout:“ magic,magic,piu…”.There will be a monster in the box! One student choose one part of the monster and say : it has… . Then, put it on the blackboard, all the body parts together will make a new monster . (设计意图:每个学生抽到不同的部位再试图把它拼在合适的位置,边说边做边思考,不仅训练了孩子的语言,更是训练了思维和想象力。)

Monster group PK Kevin group : Which group can make a longer train? Monster group students are going to say “It has…”

Kevin group students are going to say “ Kevin has…”

Which group can say more sentences , they can make a longer train.

Step4. Show students more different kinds of monsters.(设计意图:通过欣赏各种造型的怪兽打开孩子想象的空间,激发孩子表达的欲望,为孩子做更多的语言铺垫。) Step 5. Introduce “My monster”

1.Students take out their own monsters which they drew at home and let monsters do morning excise first(eg: Clap their hands. Touch their noses…) 2.Pair work: they introduce their monsters to their deskmates.

本课是一年级上册第一单元parts of my body的最后一课,是复习前6课学过的内容的复习课。复习课的原则是“温故而知新”。本节课“温故”的内容为:1. eyes,ears,nose,mouth 等body parts 的名称2. touch your nose, close your eyes 等指令语。在温故的过程中又一次加强并突破重难点,如hand 与head的发音区分。Touch your ear 和 touch your ears中单复数区分。Shake your head 和 nod your head 中 shake 和 nod 意思的区分。

其次,“知新”。在前6课中除了课本句子外一直让孩子们练习介绍自己的身

体的部位I have...学生们已经练习地非常好。在本课将加入新句型It has ...第三人称单数的表达,拓宽了学生的语言运用范围。

无论是在温故还是知新的环节,情境贯穿始终。孩子们一直处在我给设置的与monster 互动的情境中,因为语言只有在特定的情境中输出才是有意义的真实的。从找monster 到

与monster做朋友做游戏再到介绍老师的monster和自己的monster ,学生始终在这个情境中,参与热情非常高,同时在此情境中生成了的自然真实的语言。

将评价方式与复习body parts 单词融合在一起即达到了语言能力目标又激发了他们的学习兴趣,避免了过程的枯燥又在这个过程中渗透了乐于帮助别人的情感目标。

本课中小小的遗憾是由于时间的有限,最后孩子在展示自己monster的时间受限,活动的参与度没有惠及到全体学生。因此在下节课时我会先让孩子做pair work 同桌分享,让所有孩子都有机会分享自己的作品。
