Free talk. Step 2:Revision

Show the pictures to review the words: boy , girl , man , woman , pupil , teacher , doctor and nurse. Make sure the students can say correctly. T: Look and say. (Show a picture of a boy.) This is a boy. Let the students to say: Boy ,boy. This is a boy. (Show the other pictures) Let the students to say like that. Show the flashcard: Eight of our friends are lost in the maze. Let’s find them out.

Review the sentences in this unit. A: Who’s this /that boy/girl/man/woman? B: He’s / She’s……. A: How are you? B: Fine, thank you. And you? A: I’m fine, too. Step 3:Practice 1.
Show the pictures to practice the sentences: Who’s this /that boy/girl/man/woman? Help the students to reply like this: He’s / She’s……. 2.
Listen and say. First, play the tape, let the students read after it. Then, let them read the drill together. Last, let the students talk with their friends. 3.
Look and say. Let the students read the letters after the teacher, then let them read together. Step 4: Consolidation 1.
(Show a flashcard.) Listen and number. Play the tape, let the students listen and number. Check the answers with the students like this: 1 is a teacher. 2.
The capital and small letters are good friends. Can you find their friends? 3.
Look and circle. Let the students look at the pictures and circle the words. Then check the answers with the students like this: This is a woman. Read the words together. Step 5 : Summing up
