本课时选自译林版小学英语五年级下册第七单元《Chinese festivals 》story time。本单元的story time中，内容是中国的传统节日，学生对此话题比较感兴趣，课前可以要求学生搜集一些关于中国传统节日的信息，包括日期，食物和风俗习惯等，从而为课堂教学做准备。

Ⅲ.目标预设

1. 知识目标：

①能正确理解、掌握课文内容，并能准确朗读。

②能听懂、会读、会说节日单词：Double Ninth Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, Spring Festival和不同传统节日的活动以及吃的食物。

③在掌握重点句型“The Spring Festival is in ...”“Some people eat ......”等的基础上，培养学生的综合语言运用能力。

2. 能力目标：

①能正确理解并朗读课文，在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

②在文本的学习过程中提高学生的听说读写的综合语言运用能力。

③通过小组学习的方式提高学生的合作能力。

3.情感目标：

①帮助学生更深入的了解中国传统节日，爱上中国传统节日，爱上中国文化。

②提高学生学习英语的积极性和兴趣。

IV.重点、难点

1．重点：

学生能够理解课文内容，并初步朗读课文，做到语音、语调准确。

②掌握节日单词：Double Ninth Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, Spring Festival和不同传统节日的活动以及吃的食物。

学生能够熟练谈论文中所提到的四个不同的传统文化以及相关信息。

Ⅴ.设计理念

在新课标的背景下，教师由传统的知识的传授者、灌输者转变为学生学习的帮助者、促进者，指导者、组织者和合作者。“让学引思”，应该更多的把课堂交给学生，使学生的主体性充分发挥出来，尤其是在英语课堂中应该让学生变得爱说，爱发言，爱思考，而不是被老师牵着鼻子走，杜绝传统课堂中的“哑巴英语”。

VI.设计思路

课一开始由“the months of the year”这首歌自然过渡到月份中的节日，从而点题。本课是阅读题材，因此分成了读前，读中，读后三个部分。读前通过看图猜词的形式解决了本课的生词，读中分为泛读和精读，泛读部分设计了回答问题和T/F questions，精读部分首先是在老师的引导下学习第一段，然后学生用学到的方法自学2-4段，完成思路图。读后的“我说你猜”，“小采访”的设计也都是为了复述课文做铺垫。层层递进，学生不仅能理解本篇课文也掌握了阅读方法。

VII.教学过程

1.Warm up and Lead-in
