Teaching procedures

Step 1. Warming up

(1) Greetings: Good afternoon, boys and girls.Nice to meet you . (2) Reviewing: OK, now, let’s

review the last lesson. I point and you say.

(3) Let’s

sing.‘Family

Finger’

and

“Open

your mouth”

(4) Introduce myself to pupils ,then say hello to them. Step 2.Lead-in

(1) Courseware shows the picture about the star“陈赫”，then

T ask pupils ‘Can he speak Chinese ?’

‘Can you speak Chinese?’

(2) CAI shows the pictue about the star “郑凯”， and ask that‘Can he speak English ?’, then T leds pupils to watch the video that Zhengkai’s English speech at United Nations Headquarters,

Vienna. T stimulate the enthusiasm of the students to learn English Consciously.Now let’s speak English.

Step 3.Presentation and new drills.

(1) Courseware shows picture about gold ,fish and goldfish

T：

OK, boys and girls, look at this picture, what’s

this?

Yes, good, It’s

a gold . OK, follow me, gold (2) Attempt on English sentence pattern‘There is a gold/fish/goldfish.’Pupils try to say that.

(3) Courseware shows a pciture in which there are many animals . Pupils work in pairs and try to describle that‘There is a monkey/tiger/... , etc.’then T asks some pupils to show the results of the training.

(4) Courseware presents a picture in which there are some vehicles.Pupils try to practise to describle the sentence pattern ‘There is a car/bus...,etc.’

(5) Next, T shows some pictures about the postion of two objects. The senetence patterns are as follows:

S: There is a/an ... .

T: Where is it ?

S: On/In/Under/Behind/Next to the ... .

Step 4.Practice and consolidation.

(1)

T first gives the example and led pupils to think, express and answer.Then pupils work in pairs to dialogue according to the objects and positions in each pictur.

(2)

Ss come to the front and act the dialogue, T maks evaluations and encourage them.

(3) Do the listening problem on page 37.

(4) Listen and say the chant .

Fox example: There is a goat . It looks old.
