一、教学目标

知识与技能目标

1. 学生能听懂、会说、认读和拼写下列词汇

Christmas, western, invite,

bring,give

2. 学生能认读、理解和运用下列句子:

Christmas is a Western holiday.

They bring gifts for us.

We invite our family and friends to our house. 情感态度目标

激发学生在阅读中体验快乐,体验成功,快乐阅读。

三、教学重难点

重点:培养学生正确的阅读习惯,发展学生的阅读基本技能。通过阅读掌握圣诞节的相关语言知识。

难点:能够用英语向他人介绍圣诞节。

四、教学过程

本课分为热身

导入新课

新课学习,习题练习,布置作业几个部分,逐步完成教学目标,突破教学难点。

Step one: Greetings: 1.T: Hello boys and girls. S:Hello, teacher.

T:How’s the weather today? S:It’s sunny. 师生间的情感交流是课堂教学的必要组成部分,在复习环节安排这样的内容,有利于缩短师生之间的距离,消除学生的心理障碍,为后面的教学做好铺垫。

2.Let’s play a game :”Guess:What holiday is it ? “

T: I have some beautiful pictures. Look! Can you guess what holiday is it ? 呈现图片)[CAI] S:Spring Festival\ Children’sDay \Teachers’Day\ 通过竞猜的形式复习了学生之前已经学过的许多节日名称,又渗透了本课的重点词汇 holiday ,为引出本节课所要学的西方重要节日圣诞节做好了铺垫。且在上课开始就充分调动起学生学英语的积极性。

Step two: Introduce Chridtmas. At Christmas, people don’t go to work,children don’t go to school. Step three: Leading in T:Look at the calendar . What’s the date today ? S: It’s December 25th. T: What season is it ? S: It’s winter. T: In Western countries, there is a famous holiday

in winter, What is it ? 轻松自然的对话,既复习上个单元的内容,又巧妙引出了本节课主题:

S: It’s Christmas Step four: New Concepts: 1.Inturduce “ Christmas “

S: 圣诞节。

T:Yes It’s Christmas .( 板书,领读) 引导学生说出首字母需大写,字母“t”没有发音。

2.教授单词 Christmas tree, Christmas lights. T: Look, What’s this ? S: It’s a Christmas tree. T: What’s on the Christmas tree? S: 圣诞彩灯和礼物

T: Yes, Christmas tree and Christmas gifts. ( 领读) 通过多媒体课件使学生印象深刻,保持对英语学习的兴趣。 3.听第一部分录音并回答问题:

a.What’s Christmas ? b. Why is Christmas special ? 4.Introduce “Santa” 让学生认读单词: invite, bring, give. 详细讲解这几个单词

T: He is Santa. ( Father Christmas ) What is he wearing ? S: He is in red hat,red clothes,black boots.

T : Do you love Santa? Why ? S: Yes. Santa brings gifts for us .( 板书) T:Good ! For example : toy cars, toy bikes. Sweets and so on . 5.通过多媒体课件教授第二部分Jenny 一家如何过圣诞节

6.听录音并回答问题:

a. When is Christmas? b. Who is Santa ? c. Do you love Santa ? Why? 7. Compare “ Christmas “ and “

“Spring Festival” T: Christmas is very important in Western just like Spring Festival in China. Could you tell something for us ? (Discuss in group of four, then find some volunteers say something.) S1….We don’t go to school on those days . S2…We invite our friends to our house . S3…We send gifts to each other. T: Good ! On Spring Festival ,we say “ Happy New Year” On Christmas ,we say “ Merry Christmas”

让孩子们在欢乐的气氛中结束这节课的同时也讲到了圣诞节的问候语: Merry Christmas ! Step 5
