Period One

Stage One: Preparation( the first “P”)

Step One：Warm- up and lead-in:

Free talk: Do you know anything about Paris?

Take the students to this email by asking the question and answer it.

Step Two: Presentation: 1.Show some places of

interest in Paris to the students on the screen to get the students to know more about Paris. For example, Eiffel Tower埃菲尔铁塔, Versailles凡尔赛宫, Triumphal Arch凯旋门, Louvre Museum卢浮宫, Notre Dame de Paris巴黎圣母院.

2.Learn the new words in this lesson and get the students to make sentences as many as possible to use them.

Step Three: Drills( Pairwork ):

Get the students to read the words for three minutes and then ask and answer them with their partners in pairs. If some students can’t read the words, the teacher or other students can help them.

Step Four: Showing time: The teacher can take a quick quiz to check if the

students can remember the words correctly.
