教学过程

Step 1 •

T asks questions about the texts and Ss answer them. 复习已学过内容，为本课内容的学习做好铺垫。

Step 2 •

Ss complete the summarizing text with proper words. 在语篇中进行词汇复习。

Step3 •

Ss find out the past participles among different verb forms. 激活已有知识，为下面发现例子做铺垫。

Step 4 •

Ss listen to the tape and underline sentences that have past participles. •

Ss work in pairs to share their sentences. •

T checks the answers as a whole class and Ss mark the number of the sentences in the text. 让学生听录音有两个目的：①

强化课文信息；②

在语篇中体会语法的用法。

Step 5 •

Ss work in pairs to identify the past participles that function as finite verbs and non-finite verbs. •

For finite verbs, Ss try to find out if the past participles are used in passive voice or perfect tense.

由于过去分词在句中作谓语或非谓语在形式上没有什么不同，可能一些学生会混淆，所以宜采取分步推进的方式，逐渐将重点放在非谓语动词的功能和作用上。

Step 6 •

T lists the non-finite verbs, and Ss in pairs try to find out the function of the past participles (if the past participles modify nouns, serve as object complements or as predicatives). 学生了解非谓语动词的功能和作用。

Step 7 •

Ss work in pairs to find out from the example if the meaning of the past participles is passive or active, if the action of the past participles happens in the past or at present. •

Ss do Ex. 1 on handouts. 学生体会现在分词和过去分词的不同。

Step 8 •

Ss do Ex. 2 and 3 on handouts to practice different functions of past participles in sentences. 学生在分步练习中学习过去分词的功能和作用。

Step 9 •

T presents the sentences in which past participles serve to link two parts of a sentence. Ss expand the past participles into clauses. •

Ss do Ex. 4 on handouts.

让学生体验使用过去分词如何使句子更精炼。

Step 10 Homework 1.

Finish the EX.3 and EX.4 on Page54-55 on your textbook.
