Unit 1 Topic: Watch the sky (1st period)

一、教学目标

1.

知识目标:

1) The pronunciation of the letter Ss 2) The usage of nouns to identify the natural objects e.g., the sun, the moon, the stars 3) The usage of the adjectives to describe the natural objects e.g., bright, twinkling

4) The usage of formulaic expressions: Look at… It’s…/They’re… It’s like…/They’re like…

1) Being able to identify and read the words correctly.

2) Being able to talk about the natural objects by using formulaic expressions 3. 情感目标:

二、教学过程

Procedure Content Method Purpose 1. The revision of the Chant, e.g.,

I. Pre-task 朗读儿歌进行从A /æ/ apple, B /b/ bag preparation: letters from Aa to Rr 字母到单词,从单An apple and a bag. 词到句子的复习。

A big apple and a big bag. A big apple is in a big bag.

II. While-task 1. New letter ‘Ss’

procedures: Read the letter, have the students say some words beginning with the letter s, and then elicit the word ‘sky’.

1) Learn the phrase ‘look at’

2) Have the students answer the question ‘In the sky, what can you see?’

according to the pictures. Have them use the sentence structure ‘Look at the sky, I can see…’ to practice it.

从字母复习引入新字母S的发音,引导学生联想以字母s开头的单词,引出单词sky。

通过观察天空中的物体,让学生能够巩固新词sky,理解look at的含义,并学会运用。

2. Look and say 3. Listen to the whole 1) Listen to Kitty and Ben text and think ‘What can Kitty

and Ben see in the sky?’. 2) Answer the question: What can they see in the sky? What can they see in the morning? What can they see at night? Elicit three new words: sun, moon and star.

4. Learn the word ‘sun’

1) Read the word ‘sun’

and ‘the sun’.

2) Look at the picture and describe the sun: ‘It’s…’

3) Learn the new sentence pattern ‘It’s like a/an...’ Think and answer: What is the sun like? 4) Say a chant 5) Listen to the first part of the dialogue again, and then answer the question: In the sun, what can Kitty and Ben do?

After that, have the students say about what they can do in the sun.

6) Read the first part of the dialogue. 通过sky的情景和Kitty, Ben的介绍引入本课情境,并随着两人的对话总体理解课文。通过回答问题,让学生初步感知本课三个重点词汇。

通过图片,能让学生用学过的词描述太阳的外形,复习It’s …的表达。教授It’s like…句型,让学生发挥想象力。通过chant,巩固新词新句。

通过听语段了解Kitty和Ben白天能做什么,随着图片感知自己在白天可以做的事情并复习部分动词词组。

朗读文本第一段,使学生加深理解。

5. Learn the word 1) Read the second part ‘moon’

of the dialogue by students self. Find out the answers of what they can see at night.

2) Read the word ‘moon’

and ‘the moon’.

3) Use adjectives to describe the moon: Look at the moon. It’s …

4) Learnt the word ‘bright’

5) Answer the question: What can Ben and Kitty do in the moon? Enjoy some pictures about people’s activities in the moon. Think and answer: In the moon, I can … I am happy.

6. Learn the word ‘star’1)

1) Listen to the tape ‘Say and act’.

2) Read the word ‘star’

and ‘the stars’

3) Count the stars

4) Think and answer: What are the stars like?

5) Learn the word ‘little’

and ‘twinkling’ to describe the stars.

6) Sing the song ‘twinkle, twinkle, little star’.

7) Read the second part of the dialogue.

III. Post-task 1. Choose and say activities: 通过阅读文本,初步了解晚上可见的天体。

通过oo的发音,学习单词moon,便于学生记忆。

通过图片,描述月亮的外观形状,让学生再次发挥想象力,运用新学句型:It’s like…描述月亮。

通过图片感知人们在月光下可以做什么,并描述自己在月光下的活动和感受。

通过课文Say and act过渡到star的教授。通过数星星和观赏星星组成的形状,巩固单词star和句型They’re like…通过歌曲,进一步激发学生的学习兴趣。最后,文本回顾,使学生加深理解。

Choose one natural object 选择一个天体进and use formulaic 行描述,巩固本课expressions to describe it.

时所学的新词新句。

Enjoy the pictures and help the students understand we should love the nature and love the world. 通过图片的欣赏和介绍,让学生感受大自然之美,并认识到人们的生活离不开自然天体,人们应该爱自然,爱地球。
