Unit 8 Birthdays [课题(小学英语)] 5B Unit 8 Birthdays (第一课时)
[教材简析] 本单元围绕过生日这一话题,通过询问生日的具体日期及在生日里谈论所做的事情展开对话。本单元话题贴近学生的生活实际,教师可通过展开丰富多彩的活动,如“班级生日会”“我的生日我做主”等形式,让学生在真实的情境中理解并掌握本单元的语言知识。
本板块通过Miss Li询问Su Hai, Mike的生日,他们分别描述生日当天的情形学习句型:When’s your birthday? What do you do on your birthday? 及回答It’s on… I usually…并通过此板块学习新词组:have a big dinner, eat some noodles, play with Kitty, have a party, buy a birthday cake, eat the birthday cake, play some games, have a great time, have a lot of fun. 同时通过本课时的学习,意在让学生了解中西方文化中不同的生日风俗习惯。通过本课学习,让学生懂得感恩父母。课后可让学生也可调查自己家人朋友的生日,了解更多的生日活动。
[目标预设] 知识目标:
1. 能听懂、会读、会说单词:eleventh, eighth, together, play games. 2. 能听懂、会读、会说日常用语:When’s your birthday? What do you do on your birthday? 及回答It’s on… I usually….
3. 能正确的理解并朗读课文,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。
4. 能了解中西方文化中不同的生日风俗习惯。
能力目标:
1、在实际生活中能用When’s your birthday? What do you do on your birthday? 及回答It’s on… I usually…等进行语言交际活动。
2、通过丰富的课堂教学活动,把所学的语言与学生的生活实际结合起来,培养学生自主学习英语的能力和运用英语的能力。
情感目标:
1. 通过本课时学习,激发学生爱家爱朋友的情感。
2.教导学生树立健康运动的观念,激励学生建立自信心并有勇于尝试的精神。

2.能正确理解并朗读课文,在教师的帮助下尝试复述课文。

1.能够学会并运用日期的表达法。
2. 能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型询问别人的生日以及如何过生日。
[设计理念] 五年级的英语学习,对学生又提出了新的要求:培养听、说、读、写的技能。所以教师应该面向全体学生,以学生的发展为宗旨,并不忘激发学生的学习兴趣,引导学生端正学习态度,掌握良好的学习方法,培养学生良好的学习习惯。教学中,我巧妙利用情景故事,将词汇以及句型融入到学生所感兴趣的情景中,力争实现语言自然与完整的输入与输出,让学生在“完整的情景”中学习“完整的语言。”在整堂课中,充分利用多媒体课件、图片等手段,运用形象化的语言和动作,使教学内容更贴近学生的生活,激发学生的学习兴趣,提高学生参与语言活动的积极性。

S:It’s the first of December. T:Is it a festival? S:No,it isn’t. T:But it’s a special day for me. What’s the special day? S:It’s your birthday. T:Yes, it’s my birthday.(领读讲生词。) T:Do you want know anything about my birthday? You can ask me. S:What do you do on your birthday?/What do you eat on your birthday? T:I’ll show you my birthday. In the morning ,I eat noodles and then go to the park with my daughter .In the afternoon ,I watch films with my families. In the evening, I have dinner with my families. How happy I am. 【设计意图】首先通过猜节日,引导学生快速说出节日名称。激发学生的学习兴趣,提高学生参与语言活动的积极性。通过自己的生日活动为呈现课文新知做铺垫。
Step 2 Presentation and practice
T:We talked about my birthday just now. Miss Li and her Ss are talking about the birthdays too.(呈现课文图片)
1.Watch and find: (1)Whose birthdays are they talking about? (2)When are Su Hai and Mike’s birthday? 【设计意图】看卡通,回答贯穿文本的两个问题,让学生对文本有整体感知,为接下来分步学习做铺垫。
2. Listen and choose: (1)T: Do you know SY’s birthday? Why? What do they do on their birthday? have a big dinner eat some noodles play with the cat
T:Are they happy?
S:Yes, they have a great time. (2)T: Read after the tape. Pay attention to your tones and intonations. (3)T: Read with your deskmates. (4)T:Try to retell the passage. 【设计意图】将课堂还给学生“重心下移”,让学生听读课文回答问题,增强学生自主学习能力。跟读课文,既可以培养孩子纯正的发音又能巩固已学课文。最后以复述的形式对学生的前部分学习情况进行巩固提升。

3.Talk about your deskmate’s birthdays T:Boys and girls ,do you know your deskmate’s birthday? First talk with your deskmates, and then try to write it down ,and share with us. 【设计意图】让学生谈论并写出同桌的生日情况,进行语段输出,增强学生的语言交流能力。
